Me: "Hello, I would like to add a roll-bar to my policy."

Aviva: "An anti-roll-bar?"

Me: "No, that's part of the suspension, this is a rollbar which goes behind your head like on an Audi TT."

Aviva: "A roll-cage?"

Me: "Nope, just the hoop going above the head, not a whole cage."

Aviva: "I'll check with the underwriter.....PAUSE.....I checked with the underwriter and he said since it's a convertible that would make it safer and we won't be charging you anything."

So, adding a roll-bar, bucket seats and harnesses cost me nothing! Woohooo! Refreshing, since Admiral previously cancelled a policy when I said I had removed the carpet on my EK9 they said it was lighter and cancelled my police immediatley!

Why can't all insurers be more like this? Plus, the quote is ridiculously cheap - £319 and I'm 23 with 5 years NCB on an Eunos Roadster 1.8.

First time for everything, normally they are trying to screw you for any change to want to make. Supprised they didnt even add an admin charge

Happy days

why the hell would they cancel for taking the carpet out? thats retarded.

wtf, cancelling policy for removing carpet.... why do they care if you have carpet or not.

They cancelled the policy because they said I had lightened the car! I told them I'd put it back in but they said 'too late, you've admitted it so we will have to cancel the policy'.

Who are you insured with at the moment? Admiral are shocking, kept trying to insure my car as a 2010 type r because that's when it was imported, even though I told them countless times lol

I'm with Aviva, they were half as expensive as the rest of my quotes.

I think this is the first time I have ever heard of an insurance company not charging for modifications (whether safety or not) Def got a good deal there :)

Aviva never increased my policy putting even coilovers on or anything

They were miles cheaper than anyone else and were easy to deal with

Gonna try them with the crx again seeing as sky raped me to cancel the policy less than 3 months in and giving me well less than half back :/
