Me: "Hello, I would like to add a roll-bar to my policy."
Aviva: "An anti-roll-bar?"
Me: "No, that's part of the suspension, this is a rollbar which goes behind your head like on an Audi TT."
Aviva: "A roll-cage?"
Me: "Nope, just the hoop going above the head, not a whole cage."
Aviva: "I'll check with the underwriter.....PAUSE.....I checked with the underwriter and he said since it's a convertible that would make it safer and we won't be charging you anything."
So, adding a roll-bar, bucket seats and harnesses cost me nothing! Woohooo! Refreshing, since Admiral previously cancelled a policy when I said I had removed the carpet on my EK9 they said it was lighter and cancelled my police immediatley!
Why can't all insurers be more like this? Plus, the quote is ridiculously cheap - £319 and I'm 23 with 5 years NCB on an Eunos Roadster 1.8.
