What are people using?

I've currently got 5w40 motul 8100 xcess in as I had tons left over, and its due an oil change really, but not sure what to go with next.
I want to move to a 10w50. But not sure what.
I really begrudge paying £60 a time to drop it out 4 weeks later, is it worth it?
Does changing the oil more often and using good but cheaper stuff make any difference?

I'm swaying towards 10w50 millers competition oil as a nice happy medium, but im not sure :( lol

I'm using 10w50 Fuchs Titan Race Pro S

Pretty decent oil, I would recommend it anyway.

Every 4 weeks?? What you doing to bugger the oil in that short time?
10w50 Fuchs like logan above was my oil of choice.
Depends what temps you see and what the car is used for.

I ran 10w50 Millers competition seemed fine in my turbo teg, just serviced over the weekend with some 10w50 Fuchs Pro S for the second time with my turbo setup. Both Oils are fine tbh. The guys at Opie Oils sang praises for the Fuchs stuff though

Millers and gulf competition are both good.

Amsoil 5w-30 signature series is what I'm trying for the first time. The little research I've done its seems to be pretty good street/track oil. The say it's gaurenteed 25,000 miles, but I surely won't be going that far on it.

5w30 isn't recomended for b series engine unless your in colder conditions

Once I've sorted my brakes, every 4 weeks should be one or two track days and a lot of daily miles tbh.

Croft was about 17degeess when the sun came out, so warm day not overly hot, but I never saw over 104 oil temp

Christ your keen:))
You only saw 104 degrees? That's pretty good, The 10-50 stuff I used was good for 130+ degrees and I only ever saw 125 as a maximum. And it was a nice red colour.
Give Opie oils a shout, and tell them what you have, what oil temps you are seeing, maximum rpms and what the car is used for. They then can give you a good recommendation. that's what I did.

Fuchs (Silkolene) Titan Pro S. Just recently purchased 5w40 grade, as they didn't have 1ow40 in stock.

Fahrenheit or celcius? May sound like a silly question but I'm just trying to compare as I'm sure my AEM is in Fahrenheit.

What's the reading? I'll tell you if its Celsius or not.

Only 104 degrees is pretty good. How long was you out for at a time?
I was pulling more than that N/A lol

10w60 if your boosted, lower weight oils wont stand the heat on circuit, especially if your doing 15min+ sessions
