Please help with this??

when i bought my car like 3 months ago, i changed oil to 5w40 motul.
today i changed oil again but i bought 15w50 motul instead. when i started the car the valvetrain began making valve noise.... i don't know why.... what happened?¿?

thnx

Assuming that the B16A has the same "oil requirements" of the B16B I will recommend you to read this thread:

http://www.ek9.org/forum/resource-area/1125-b16b-oil-recommendations.html

Also in the ek9 B16B manual, the 15w 50 is not a recommended oil, keep in mind this.

Since you live in the same country I live you should use the 10w 40 oil, you can find it in motul in semi synthetic and semi synthetic for about 20 $ the semi, and 50 $ the full synthetic the gallon .

Good luck

honda's do make a lot of valvetrain noise. did you let the motor warm up? 15w40 seems a little thick, i use 10w40

yes i waited till the engine had temperature but the valve noise continued.

anyways last night i threw out the oil. i'm going to buy new oil today. im just wondering what oil could be better. 5w40 (which i already used) or try 10w40
