Hi, seen these previously on some engine bays... however is this worth installing on an N/A B16? anyone?

Cusco say: Cusco oil catch tank is used to reduced the oil vapours from going into the air intake charge. The oil vapours contaminate the air intake charge by mixing with the air and fuel that are used to create combustion in the engine.

As a result of this contamination, it reduce burn efficiency, increase detonation risk, and power factor in both naturally aspirated and turbo cars.

high compression, high revving engins, and turbo honda's all benefit from an oil catchcan, i have one and ive noticed it fills up a little with milky colored oil about 1/4 after 600mils. my car is turbo though so i have a little more cylinder pressure, but if you drive the car hard and often like in a road race situation it is definately worth it.

just make sure to have it modified to have a filter on top, and you'll need block ports off a prelude to make it work., here is a pic of mine:

thanks... i had understood it good to hve on turbo veh as it help rise compression or something along those lines :D might aswell go for it as i hve it shipped to me for around £60 / £70... 'blinx' reckon this is decent price for it? :blinx:

is it too much asking why hve it modified with a filter? & why the prelude bit?

:thanks:

Would installing the oil catch obstruct a Front strut brace..? [as seen in ur engine bay, oil tank sits where the front strut would!] :nerv:

catch cans have nothing to do with gaining compression, thats a normal price i would say.

depends where you put it, i put mine in a bad place, im gonna move it one day so i can put my cusco bar back on.

i used the rear vents...those will really help on the pressure...but i would recommend venting thru the right one...( baffled) the left one its unbaffled, so you will get a lot of oil coming out ...im boosting ..

another good way to vent its thru the valve cover...( exhaust side )
i used two 12 an fittings , welded to the VC...and no more flipped oil pan gasket!!!! :)

that explains why i have oil in 1 tube and not the other... i always wondered... so when you say right do you mean the one closest to the passenger side?
