hi,

wanted to ask for quite sometime. is there any difference in shifting travel between oem type r short shifter and aftermarket one like the skunk2 or c's or other brand in the market?because as i can see,the design is almost or is the same.or am i wrong?

assume aftermarket one will have even shorter throw.

X2 , but with aftermakets , you can have some issues with your exhaust pipe...i have a long history to tell with that kind of problem , specially with 2.5" + piping

have one in my jordan far shorter than the tyre r one, not sure on make tho was in car when i bought it il check tho.

I have a Vision short shift, to be honest I do not like it.
The short shifting is based on a leverage system with longer bottom link unlike the Toyota wire based system. You will feel it is more "crunchy" and you are better off with a quicker hand/arm motion.

I have used MANY different short throw shifters and i must say i enjoy the OEM GSR/Type R one the best :nice: Others felt stiff or were not precise cause gear grinds etc...
