Looking at a set of these Kics - Racing Composite R40 - Wheel Nuts - Nengun Performance are the EK9 nuts M12XP1.5? Correct code in the link being RC-11N?
Tried Mcgard before and I found the squigly circular pattern on the locknut to be not deep enough, ended up burring it. Tried some locknuts from Rarerims and one is close to being burred already, too soft. Not bothered about weight as its just a nut! Security first, what are people using?

Other good ones are skunk2 lug nuts, they are hard to brake! hehehe

I'm using Trust Titanium lug nuts, thier lock nuts has a groove cut down the lenght of the lug.

is it worth replacing stock with set of racing nuts on stock rims?

has anyone has experience with Rays nuts??

They have one 7 sided nut for each wheel for security however i dunno if there any good......

Up to you if you replace them m8, you wont notice the difference in weight, lock nuts are a must though. Some lock nuts are easier to use than others hence my post, if you are heavy handed or sometimes even a slip as you tighten it 'a touch more' and the locknut or key burrs over it can be a real pain. The Rays fade fairly quickly (the red ones become pink etc) and chip easily.

I could live with the nuts chipping etc but i would be pissed if the 'security' nut could be removed easily and my wheels got taken. Just a seven sided nut seems to be not very secure to me, as in could a thief not just hammer a socket (the ones with the mulitple splines rather than a hex sided one) over the 7 sided one and do away with it??

Was thinking bout getting McGuard locking nuts.

I found the mcgards pretty good, although I did slip on tightening and burred the key, I may have tried to overtighten but even if you do it shouldnt happen, had to send off for another. The pattern needs to be deeper so when you put it over the nut it locks solid with absolutely no chance of any movement should you slip imo.

I'll probably go for them then. think i'll need the tuner ones tho with the slimmer design. £40 but money well worth spending :)
