Nicole's turbo black ek9

Going really well in the videos. :nice:

The car also sounds and looks rapid on the straights!

had to take the time to go through this build since last time i went through it. This is a work of art, big respect for putting this much time and effort in!

Black on black te37's just looks beyond awesome!

Just wondering where did you get the complete hondata ecu from?

Just spent the last hour reading through this thread and all i can say is the car is an absoulute credit, everything compliments itself so well great too see a car built using nothing only top end parts, the bay is just a work of a art massive fan of the stealthy look i think black on black just looks so aggressive, also great too see you keep a keen interest in keeping the car clean touching up bumpers, bonnets etc because of stone chips then putting the car straight back out on track and using it like its supposed to be! :nice:

Any Road vids or track vids mad to see what the gear by gear acceleration is through 2nd-3rd up to low in 4th

Jesse, not really, it took me all day to get used to it and by the time I had the day was over. brakes were limiting me far too much too, its amazing how much quicker those corners come round haha

Thanks

amazing job on the car I'm waiting for my ek9 to arrive from japan to Canada the wait is killing me.

looks to be in pristine condition fair play to you such a lovely car, what battery did you relocate and where in the car did you put it, dumpvalve sounds epic.

Nothing very exciting going on with mine. Basically it works and I'm using it! Fuel is absolutely raping me though haha

Got some pictures when it was filthy just because it was a nice spot by the lighthouse :)

I did order some Yellowspeed 4 pots, but they didnt turn up in time for Anglesey so got my discs skimmed and cleaned up pads and rebed them in and they were a bit better, but still lacking on stopping power.
turned up a few days after Anglesey and they're very pretty!
286 4 pots with two piece discs

And my footage from Anglesey, first laps are a bit ropey but gradually got into the swing of things. I found it fairly complicated to learn and could probably do with a few more days there but its definitely the most beautiful track I've been to!

Very nice brakes. I love two piece rotors. I wonder how they compair to something like spoon calipers.

I did look into spoon calipers, but I really wanted two piece discs and they're another £400+ from japan.
The price of this whole kit is about 3/4 of the price of spoon calipers alone! So financially the spoon calipers made no sense, and they just use standard size discs and calipers as far as I'm aware, so not really any improvement. These discs are slightly bigger and thicker which will hopefully help!

cannot get over how good the black on black combo looks on this! Spoon brakes are cool but more for scene points than anything, more and more people just going for the accord twinpots now.
