Nicole's turbo black ek9

Think i might have passed you on the A1 Sunday evening, did you notice a white teg and silver atr pass you ?

Thanks for the replies guys! huge help - I've just been out to have a play with the clutch pedal. I've adjusted that bolt at the top of the pedal and it's moved it down! I know have a lot less travel to the bite and I can change gear without my leg up to my chin haha :)
I know the clutch was only changed last year and I'd like to think its not worn out already! :nono:

I'll have to have a look into the fuel gauge issue then - it defo sounds like somethings up with it. where does the gauge sit for you guys when the ignitions off?
Saxo is 45l tank too, and I can defo get a lot more in it than im managing in the ek.

Modifications usually de-value a car :secret:

I'm glad it's not just me who thinks this! :nice:

Yup! I saw you guys, was on my way back from Milton Keynes!
I didnt think you'd seen me, I was just hiding between lorries in the slow lane haha
I thought it was another guy I know up here with a silver atr, but he pointed me in the direction of the actual owner on facebook lol :)

thanks for all the lovely comments, im made up with it - and so happy I held out for a black one :p

Ha ha yeah we spied you, lovely motor by the way. We had just picked the atr up not far from Milton Keynes.

The fuel gauge will sit at the level of fuel that is in the tank. It does not drop if the engine is off.

The EK9 does have a fuel light but needs to be very low to come on

x2 this, the float in your tank could be sticking making it not go as far down as it should. If your fuel light is on you've got about 20 mile left! :nono:

It's off to the body shop on Saturday :D I doubt anyone would even notice the marks on it, but they're annoying me so...
Both bumpers, doors and rear quarters, plus the drivers side round the door where someone tried to break in and chipped the paint, plus a full machine polish to finish it off and then I can get my little detailing hands on it :)
Body shop is awesome, can't wait to get it back absolutely mint!!

Annoyingly tegiwa don't seem to do black ek9 decals - so it looks like it's genuine honda ones at £43 per side! :'(
Unless anyone knows any decent replicas?? :)

Stickerdude on civiclife sell replicas, message them they might do a black version .

The clutch pedal has two adjustments on it, one that effects how far the master cylinder piston (rod linkage) is pushed in and out, and a second that takes up any slack between the pedal and first contact with the master cylinder piston. A high bite would usually be a fairly worn clutch, as the hydraulic slave cylinder takes up the slack.

SO if you adjust the pedal to much the clutch will drag/slip as the slave cylinder will always have pressure on it.

TO bleed the clutch, I usually gravity bleed it first,

Then
Pump clutch
Hold down
Release bleed nipple
Close nipple
Release peddle
Repeat

But make sure the clutch fluid res is always topped up! soon as it drops below it draws air in and you have to start again.

Oh and btw, nice ek9!

I have used Stickerdude a couple of times was good service and product. He has a good rep on the ITR Forum

Looks very nice! And to confirm the fuel gauge sounds normal, the needle will go off the scale and it will still run. In terms of the decals, You get what you pay for, I would use Honda or at least Tegiwa for these every time, The layered replica decals you buy just aren't the same, but things like this don't bother a lot of people.

Goodluck with it :nice:
