Nicole's turbo black ek9

Found someone else to do it - AMAC engineering in Northallerton. Dropped the block off on Saturday and feel a lot more comfortable with these guys. Really seem to know their stuff and have built a few friends Honda engines - only reason I didnt go to them in the first place is they're a good hour and a half from me lol. They're pretty busy (good sign I guess) so I'm hoping to have it back end of January now. Pretty gutted but I'm happy I managed to get everything back.

Turbo kit arrived today, missing an air filter but pretty damn happy with it all :D

one day i'll have actual progress ha :(

That manifold really is a work of art isn't it!
Downpipe looks huge! Must resist!
You going to run a full 3" exhaust then? Or step it down after the downpipe?

One issue with that manifold, can't run a full width rad?

that downpipe looks masssive ! ddint realise you were going boosted, brake lines look as if they are well done, top work

Very impressive looking parts, the pipework looks to be great quality

Nice setup to be sitting under the tree :)

One issue with that manifold, can't run a full width rad?

Yeh the downpipe is massive haha, wasn't expecting it to be quite so large! It's booked in for full 3" exhaust at the beginning of March so that's my deadline lol, the company has a 6 month waiting list so if I can't make that I'll be pushing on into summer!
Got a half size fluidyne rad, you're right this setup won't work with a full size, shouldn't be a problem though :)

Tidy build you have going on, what power you aiming for?

Nothing crazy, my build would be fine up to about 400 lol but as it's mainly for track days I'm aiming for about 280 :)

Seems like a fair bit of up selling been done for your goals. You'll have a better set up for it though. Unless you start boiling your water.(doubtful)
Be interesting to match both our dynographs together, you've got the better turbo, manifold, exhaust etc to get more gains/earlier. But I've got displacement.

Wow! Santa loves u! Amazing quality on the parts, so fast forward to march and that turbo shud be spooling!

If the gear under my Christmas tree looked like that, I'd likely creme De la creme in my pants!

Loving the updates and progress on this 9er. Really happy for you!

Oh, and can we swap Christmas tree's please? :run:

If i dont get anything from santa is because he left everything under your tree..:drive:

Progress is slow but progress none the less...

loadsa bolts missing from when i bought it so will get them tuesday and have it built up asap!

Engine is back together! just needs cambelt covers on and timed up, need to wait for some bits from honda though..

had an interesting time trying to get the sump on, was hitting the oil pick up and wouldnt do up - turns out the type R oil pump causes it to hang lower. If seen a few bashed in pick ups in the past and never knew why till now!!
