you know that jumping from a turboed car to Vtec will feel like jumping down from a torquey V8 to a high revving 6cyl. It'll take time to get used to but you just got to learn what a CTR really is.

Do you have any pics? What colour?
 
yeah i know what you mean but i drive the atr alot so quite used to vtec now lol

was top notch, exactly what i expected, got two page things in japanese as some very small part of service history, but interior is immaculate, engine perfect and looks sexy as hell on the coilovers!!!
hes off on hols now so should be ready in week or so,so excited

yeah i think im with you there i prefer the look of the pre facelift!!!!
Yeah it is a 5zgien exhaust and i will add its very loud so ill be looking at changing it for something a bit quieter but well see how i get on, other than that only mods are cusco coilovers which arent too bumpy really and look sexy as hell!!!!
Test drive was as good as the previous ek9 i tested, seems very strong in vtec, exhaust actually sounds like a different exhaust when vtecing, but too loud on normal cruise.NO funny noises, interior is clean and no flaking rocker cover and overall very clean, i would reccomend joe to anyone here and it so happens he has access to a facelift to anyone interested!!!!

hes only away for a week so not too bad.
Hes gonna ring me wednesday so hopefully some time next week i shall be one proud owner looking the balls lol
been reading up on the exhaust and seems one of the best systems you can get for the dc2 so i might just be on the look out for a bung but i still couldnt make out if it was just backbox or not but i dnt think you can buy just a 5zigen backbox but i shall check when i get it

How much you want for the 5zigen exhaust? It just happens that I have 5zigen headers. It would be a good match. Do you know what the piping size is
? 2.25inch or 2.5inch?

yup it's a 5zigen miracle mireball and they are only available as cat back, pricey systems new and are meant to be very good quality but a bit loud! although the bung is meant to bring the noise back down to almost stock level :woot:
 
damn, I thought you were located in AUS, new south wales... LOL my bad... I heard they are high pitched in sound though... I don't like that... :/
 
righht then guys, i can now say i am a true ek9 owner!!!!!
picked up today and first impressions are
great car, not pushed it too much really as a new car to me but still impressed,can see how a little fettling can help ;)
only thing is i need a gear knob as it was stolen in transit and make do one keeps coming off, so annoying!!!
ill try get some pics up as soon as i can

awesome man........me on the other hand im still waiting, cant get a hold of him :(

my gear knobs missing as well, new one from hondas £160 :shocked: feel fast then....
 
its so gay having to wait!!!! ritten barstards stealing gear knobs i hope they know the suffering they are causing us!!!!
it feels pretty quick especially off the line!!! handles really well but i know they do plus i have cusco coilovers:nice:
quite a comfortable car as well im loving the recaros prefer them to the treadlines as there just too big and i feel are for show rather than support and comfort
when its dry ill take some pics and let you all in on my pride and joy
just need to decide what induction to go for, might try organise a group buy:nice:
 
What about this?? $shiftknob_small.jpg. Its around $100 and 440 grams weight. I still didn't find one to buy here. :angry2:
