TEIN coilovers
CUSCO front strut brace
J's Racing intake
DCSPORTS decat
FIDANZA flywheel

i have to get a 4branch manifold yet tho but that wont be a problem:woot:

there is a full exhaust system on the car already so if its in good condition it will stay(i think its spoon),there is also uprated CAMS and uprated Engine Mounts but thats all i know of at the minute untill it arrives:D

looking forward to driving her,its a 00 with 32k miles

she will be going straight for a RR with the mods before and after to see power gains etc etc

Nice mods, do you mean cusco front tower bar?

What spring rates do the flex come with as standard? I have d2s with 7kg and 5kg springs, and the ride is pretty harsh compared to my mates turbo vti with Flex.

the flex spring rates are 9kg front and 5kg rear. the great thing about flex is that the shock is so good that even with stiff springs its a nice ride :nice:

No way. I thought the d2 rates were alot higher. Blinx, what is it thats so good on the shocks that makes them alot softer/smoother ride than the d2s even with higher spring rates?

springs are easy to make, anybody can make springs, shocks however are nother story, shocks are actually very complicated, so it takes a lot of experience to properly match a spring rate to a shocks compression, rebound, valving etc... i'll be honest i dont even know that much about shocks, its one thing i still havent learned too much about. but keep in mind TEIN sells shocks, just shocks that cost $2000 a set! TEIN knows how to make a good shock.

another example: TEIN MONO flex has spring rates even stiffer 14kg and 8kg and they still ride smooth!!! some people say they ride smoother than the regular flex! the main (aside from spring rate) difference between flex and mono flex is the shock.

D2 are just copy coilover, they actually just copy the other companies, just like ksport and megan do, and all the other china companies. thats why they can afford to sell them at such a low price becuase there is NO r&d cost.

TEIN is a japanese company, who innovate there own designs, they do there own R&D they actually RACE cars, all this allows them to make a superior shock.

Thanks for the info man. I'll have a proper read in the morning:nice:. I was after a set if Tein, but could'nt find any at the time, so had to settle for the d2s. I spoke to a few suspension dudes over here and they said d2s,teins etc come from the same factory or something? (Their words not mine lol) But after experiencing both, I reccon I'm deffo gonna go for the teins on the ek9. D2s are cool I guess, but I'd have to get lower spring rates as I use my car every day, and their a little too stiff.
