I recently got a new clutch kit fitted to my Ek9 ( 1997 ), Car runs perfect but when in first gear the car/engine shakes like crazy when i gently ease my foot off, this has never happened before only since the new clutch has been fitted, even the dash shakes like crazy!!! Anyone got any advice on this :please:

sounds like u got a bad case of "clutch judder" like above what was the make of the clutch???

this problem usually happens with cheaper types of clutch.. although u can get it on the expensive types...

the only cure is to hav it changed again... BOOOOOO

Have heard of this with some of the excedy clutches I believe hiatch had a bad experiance with one that juddered they can be hit and miss. Although I might be wrong.

The clutch is an NKK Clutch kit and still with the original ek9 flywheel, read there a good make but take some time to bed in aperantly?? ...
Was speaking to my machanic and he told me the Clutch disc was seized to the shaft of the gearbox and that it wasnt moving freely as its supposed to do... he cleaned up the flywheel also, Ya think this has damaged the flywheel since it was seized? Cheer's for the advice so far.

It could be something as simple as a bit of oil or wd40 etc. left on the clutch surface after fitting causing it to slip slightly and judder. I put an OEM Honda EK9 clutch into mine a couple of months ago and recently it started to judder when taking off, this was after changing my manifold and gearbox oil. I am thinking that either some gear oil or wd40 had got into the clutch as there are inspection gaps at the top of the clutch housing.

After a trackday on Sunday there the judder has completely dissappeared probably due to the heat burning off whatever was causing the judder:)
