Going to be buying another Civic very soon! Fed up not having one when i no really im in love with them :)

Anyone any ideas of what i could buy.....Not an ek9 as im only 20 and with 6 points ill never insure one lol!!

You can buy a lot, it's useless for us to name all available Civic models....so tell us what you are looking for, what you are not looking for, what your budget is, if you got a preference for any generation/chassis, what do you want to do with it etc.
 
Well id obviously LOVE a vtec. and im thinking between i would probably like the ek shape of civic. Looking to spend somewhere around £2,000. Thing is with my 6 points i dont no if i could insure a vtec! But does that mean i just buy a 1.4 ej9 and throw a b18 into it? I just dont know what to do.
 
I would personally get on a insurance comparison website and get typing in a lot of registration's then you will know what you can insure.
 
Indeed. And a B18C in an EJ9 means your effectively uninsured. When they find out after you've been in a big accident, they will not pay 1 penny.

Not strictly true. They will pay out, but they will then take you to court to recover the costs! Either way, I wouldn't advise it. For £2,000 you will get an EK4 but you'll get an EG6 in far better condition. But the aforementioned points will mean you'll pay through the nose.
 
I too have been living a lie about the teeth :( As has been mentioned, get yourself on some comparison websites with plates and see what the prices are. But it won't be cheap at 20 with Vtec, let alone with 6 points! I hope they are SP30's or it'll be even more!!
 
Oh! Just got it! I'm sure I've seen a couple flying around the forum recently that are for sale

Yeh ill have a wee look to see whats for sale...i dont mind traveling to scotland if i have too! Maybe be smart just to buy a 1.4 until i get rid of my points and save like hell for a vtec :p
 
SP30's are speeding fines mate. Some penalties put up insurance more than others.
 
Done for no insurance and you were considering an undeclared conversion? :nerv:
