NeilVtec EK9 Build up

someones been busy ;)

great updates man cars turning into a beast :naughty:

Some nice new parts! Gauges look great where you have them very neat! :))

Nice progress :nice:

Loving the new parts and your car was going very well in the vid, its great giving 4wd turbo cars a hard time on the track I'm sure they hate having to move over for a wee civic

I count this as step forward for my Build as the EK9 now has its Nurburgring Sticker!

Heres a quick vid and a couple of snaps Of it there!

hopefully more updates soon!

really happy with the car mate, The set up on it is great & The engine never skipped a beat :) so was all-round very pleased with it!!

Best lap is that one on the video at 8:48 BTG, as you can tell it wasn't as quick as it could of been, had a couple of fast laps on my own but both of them had a yellow flag so the times weren't that good! Im still very happy to have go below 9minutes though! :nice:

Glad to see that everything was working well for you mate, it would have been an amazin trip over there :)

Thats still a very quick time in a normally aspirated 1.8 :naughty:

aye 8.48 is a good time, basically the same as what i had last year, again with a passenger and traffic! 1.6 with the spoon ecu and standard gearbox, no cage etc

aiming for 8.20 at least this year...........

What sort of oil temps where you getting with the oil cooler?

Nice video, thanks. What is the scraping noise during some cornering? Really like your EK4 and the EK9 is even better!

Cheers! I would of been looking for sub 8:30 really had i had the lack of traffic / flags / passenger but still happy as its only the second time i've had this car on a track! :)

PLEASE get some footage when you go steve, would love to see it in action. you can rent go-pro HD's now if you don't have your own way of recording! :nice:

Highest temps were about 70-80 i think, but that is on the return line from the cooler so would be higher going out of the engine!

Scraping noise is the tyres catching on the arches a tiny bit, Barely touched the tyres but it sounds nasty! will get the arches rolled before my next track day!

real good job, would love to know where u get all ur money for those parts!

looks like great fun man! would love to take my car down 1 day! did you trailer it there?

Got a camera and mount, so will be getting some footage for sure

70-80, ****, the cooler does a good job :wow: Round knockhill mine peaks at 119, round germany i'm sure i saw mid 120's last year..............

my rear tyres caught the arches constantly round there last year, loads of room now after i rolled the arches, just need a big hammer!

I will have to roll them then! its fine on the ek9 wheels but when i have the wider offset wheels on it catches as you heard! , had a look at the guages today and looking at where the needle was it was more lke 80-90, still good though!

Really cant wait to see your footage!! Hope you have some traffic / flagless laps to let it rip!! :nice:

i will update this soon Matt, Just need to take some pictures of the new bits! :)

This year i did 1 Lap on the Saturday and 9 laps on the Sunday! Wish i could have stayed longer!
