Okay everyone i have a fully built b20V all motor but want too go boost but not sure at all on how much i can boost due too i got a high comp B20b block and a high comp B16 head so whole motor is high compression and is built by blackworks port and polished the head/intake manifold ext ext i cant lie the car distroys eneyone who lines up i beat couple boosted cars and a ton of all motors and just the set up my B20v has is nasty allmotor love hearing it back fire everytime i power shift and beleave it or not my b20v isnt only a beast from a dig ( dead stop take off) but it has alot of top end i raced a JDM H22 and distroyed it from 1st gear roll and only used 3 gears (1st/2nd/3rd) and took it too 135 on 3rd and could of kept going but was running out of road i know my car can give more then what it does

So all said and done i Really need to know how much i can boost on my B20v i want more then all motor even thow its a monster in the streets thanks too Blackworks performance but i think its time for some boost please let me know the safest way too boost my b20vdue too the whole motor is High compression which can end up in a BOOOOMM :nono: thank you for reading this and i will post pictures of my bay ASAP

b20 are not too good on boost the factory sleeves are thin and wick but it all depends on your comp. if your block was sleeved or not but on my opinion no boost for your engine

dang that sucks and yea i know thats why everyone always use a LS block for boost or go LSV on boost but i hate LS with a passion and will never drive a civic or a integra with a Ls lol i dont know i never liked them but thank you for the info i think the most i can boost is 5psi

elbuitre104 do you speak from personal experience or just internet chatter?

Angel Ek9 boost away my friend, i helped a friend build a turbo b20 a couple years back, it was originally an NA build with high comp ROSS 11:1 forged pistons and EAGLE forged con rods, ported head, dual valve springs, retainers, brian crower s3 cams blah blah, he made ~212whp NA, then we turbo'd it with a GT35R and top mount manifold, AEM EMS, and a clutch and he went to 380whp, last time we went to the track he ran 12.2 in the 1/4, he has broken axles and gear boxes but he is still on the same engine!! When tuned right, b20's will hold their fare share of boost! DO IT!!!!!!

p.s. moved to FI section :blinx:

You did 135mph in 3rd gear? You are full of crap and your entire post makes no sense. Please go away and spurt your fake street racing fantasies somewhere else.

i speak from my own experience i never again try to build another b20 for boost i wasted money on that one cylinderwall crack on my at 11psi dont get me wrong i had it all motor at first and it was beautifull till i decide to rebuild the engine for boost i end buying a b18c5 block and got it sleeved for a peace of mind money well invested

I have had my b20 for 6 years 90000miles, 30000 have been boosted and about 2 and half years on boost, i run mine at 12psi on eagle rods and 11-1 cpr arias pistons, my head is pretty much standard all i did was change the cams and springs from a dc2 itr. My car made 289.4whp and was tuned at TDI-PLC.

if tuned and built right they will last and peform perfect each time the key is turned.

I would say dont be to greedy or expect mental power use good plugs and ignition and dont try to do it on the xcheap
