Getting rather pissed off with me car now!! To be precise.....my brakes!!!!

At first they we're binding, so I got the front calipers swapped (inc. new discs n pads) with a set of calipers that the previous owner had gave me when I bought the car......all was fine for a week or 2 then they started binding again!!

I then bought a caliper overhaul kit to refurbish them but had to drive to work for a few days with them binding, ended up getting the wrong kit sent out to me so had to take a day off work to sort another kit out or buy some more calipers! Suppliers didnt have the kits in stock but did have the calipers in, so I forked out for some refurbished calipers!

So after a coupel of days i decided to jack the front of the car up and check on the brakes, just to make sure everything was ok. Wish I hadnt now lol

I fiddled about with the fronts and span the wheel a couple of times and they seemed to STILL be catching. Its as if they are catching on a particular part of the disc?

Any ideas? as its pissing me off now....ive spent the best part of £300 just on the front brakes alone and their still now right!!

Might be worth mentioning that my steering feels wank! pulls to the left, vibrates and under regular braking it vibrates too!! Not good when im currently doing 60 miles a day!

HELP!! lol

Havent yet, no. Theres no garages around where I work and I also work approx 30 miles from where I live. So its usually a weekend job.

Sounds like there is a slight warp in your discs probably caused by the heat build up from them binding. Once the wheel can spin relatively easy I wouldn't worry about it

if its not your calipers try your brake master cylinder,i spend ages on my teg chasing callipers, ended up being master cylinder.

hi sounds to me like its a perfect case of warped disc, would have happend when you put the second set of seized calipers on,especially as you drive 60 miles a day. Also sometimes the inside of the rubber brake hose breaks up and can also make the caliper stick. hope this helps.
