what are the names for the civic hatch,

i know ek9, ek4, ej6, what are other names,

and whats the difference between them
 
Well those are Chassis codes and the ones I know for 96-00 hatches are:

EJ6 - North American CX/DX Hatch (I think there's a Euro EJ6 too) - D16Y7 (Non-VTEC)
EJ9 - European 1.4 Hatch - D14A3/D14A4 (identical motors but different valves, A4 has 15HP more)
EK4 - JDM SiR or Euro VTi - 170HP B16A in SiR and 160HP B16A2 in VTi (DOHC VTEC)
EK9 - JDM Type-R - B16B (DOHC VTEC)

and just for the heck of it

EJ6 is also DX Coupes and DX/LX Sedan's - D16Y7 (Non-VTEC)
EJ7 - HX Coupe - D16Y5 (VTEC-E)
EJ8 - USDM EX Coupe/Sedan, CDM Si - D16Y8 (SOHC VTEC)
EM1 - USDM Si, CDM SiR, Euro VTi Coupe - B16A2 (DOHC VTEC)
EK3 - JDM Ferio Vi/VTi - D15B (3-Stage VTEC)
EK4 - JDM Ferio SiR - B16A (DOHC VTEC)

And those are all I know, I'm sure there's more.

Yeah the JDM EK3 4-door VTi/Vi had a 3-stage VTEC D15B, the Euro EK4 VTi had a B16.
