Before the S2000 I had a 98 Spec JDM DC2, unfortunately back in December it was written off due to hitting black ice and the rear quarter hitting a tree. Here's it in its former glory! haha

After breaking the Teg and a few months of getting the bus I was sick of it and decided it was time to get a new project. A JDM S2000 came up for sale near me and a deal was soon made and it was brought back to the Isle.

Although being a good base there were a few things I wasn't keen on, the centre caps had to go along with the chrome wheel nuts, stickers had to be removed and it had to be raised and suspension setup properly. The same day it ended looking like this, I had also fitted my Spoon titanium gearknob, Personal steering wheel and NRG removable hub which improved the driving position 100% where I'm lanky haha!

The next weekend the messy job of undersealing the car started, along with some coilover socks fitted to protect the roads from ruining them. A pheasant also decided to have a fight with my front bumper so new number plates were purchased

It originally had a single exit Spoon N1 on it but it just didn't sound quite right to me, luckily a J's Racing 60RS Ti came up for sale. Having always wanted one for the Teg it had to be done!

It sounds amazing and is definitely one of my favourite mods done so far!

A Password JDM cold air feed was then purchased, I never understood why the air was sucked in over the radiator?! Made a huge difference along with an oil change, transmission fluid change, spark plug change and painting the brake calipers black.

It was then finally given a machine polish ready for the first Mimms of the year. Was lucky enough to have fast car take a couple of pics of it as well!

When driving the S2000 I always felt like I was about to fall out of the door. After having a Bride in my DC2 I decided to get another with a Buddy Club low rail.

I was never keen on the white fighters and they weren't a staggered set. A staggered set of black Regamasters came up for sale and I took the plunge.

They looked great but the offsets weren't ideal so it was decided to try and flare my arches out.

Unfortunately whoever had rolled them previously had not done a very good job and once flared out they rippled badly. Having tracked my teg and loved it I decided I didn't want to run Regas on track so they were taken off and an OEM set of S2000 wheels with AO48s were purchased for the summer. The space saver look!

Not happy with the look of the arches anymore I decided to go all out and give it wide arches, having decided that an ASM rep front bumper also came up for sale.

Getting the bumper and arches to fit well took a lot of evenings after work sanding and prepping. They were finally then ready to be test fitted before paint.

The scary job of cutting out the original arch then started. The arches were cut, inner skin rolled, tack welded, primered, seam sealed and undersealed.

Also finished undersealing whilst I was there as well.

After driving it round looking like that waiting for my bits to be sprayed I picked up the new wheels.

Which brings us to today where I'm finally happy with it since first purchasing it in Feb! Haha

Just read this thread on S2Ki lol.
Looks good mate. Wish I had the balls to cut into my arches...

Nice teg you had, the s2k looks well, love the colour. Not to pushed on te rear arches to be honest but it could grow on me..

Haha! Everyone has said about cutting the arches, if you had seen them in the flesh before you would have understood why they had to go! Still miss my teg :-(

You got some balls cutting them arches up.
S2k looks great with them wider ones!

Pity about the teg but the replacement looks better. Some balls to go cutting them arches coz I wouldn't.

Fairplay man, a serious amount of work gone into it, only one though it need more :pics: taken

teg was lovely...

s2000 was nice too until you fitted the gammy arches

Looks epic!! I bought arches like that for my civic.. Looked no where near that good!

Nice work there mate.

You might be the man to ask, I am considering buying either an S2K or an ITR but can't make my mind up, i've never driven an S2K before, how does it compare?

From my expierence they're very different cars to drive. You could just chuck the teg about and floor the throttle, with the S2000 you have to be alot smoother purely cause its rear wheel drive I guess. Speed wise they're similar but I think the S2000 has the edge. I think you'll be pleased with either car you choose tbh!

A few updates since last time, the front bumper has gone back to the spray shop as I wasn't happy with the final product. Kinda annoyed by that but it'll be worth it when it comes back perfect.

The arches have since been adjusted along with the rear bumper as well, does flow a lot better now I have to admit. An oil change has been done as well as a well deserved machine polish!

I went out to get pictures with my camera this eve and when I got there it had run out of battery FAIL! A few iPhone pics will have to do
