The Speedlines were nice, but they were the wrong offset, heavy and they were a little gay. Got some Pro 1.2's - almost half the weight of the Speedlines!

Many thanks! After 5 tough years it's finally done! Expensive game this malarky, so i've just had to do bits as i go along. :)

Cheers! Yeah they are going back on a Williams Clio where they belong! :)

I would think a local single venue rally will be first up for it - keep things simple. I'll certainly keep the thread to date with reports etc. :)

You used to do a bit then?

Doing as much as i can mate, dads been competing for years, and i have now joined in, was using a williams clio while i built a mk2 escort, but i got fustrated with the clio, and diss-heartened with the mk2, so now building a civic, hoping to be out at Caerwent end of june...,and thats inbetween doing road rallys aswell hmmm, maybe i need a life lol.

Cars looking sweet, always liked the mg's (dad has an mg zt 260 with a supercharger mmmm, blown v8 goodness) but the k series always let them down in my book.

Fair play mate, this build is incredible, my Dad worked for MG Rover so I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the MG Zs, particularly the ZR and you've turned it in to a vtec powered rally weapon, awesome!

Here's a couple of latest pics. The car is due for throttle bodies, cams and management very soon, so hoping to have some tasty results to share!

Old MG vs. New(er) MG!

Awesome build this. Everything done to perfection.
It looks immaculate in the pictures.
Best of luck with your engine tuning.
Which ITB's will you be looking at and are you still staying in the 1600 class?....

Many thanks! Enine is something i'm digging a tad deaper into at the moment.

Definately staying 1600cc. The plan was for Jenvey's but i've heard mixxed reports. I was told a later gen 2 skunk inlet would be just as good. Also cams i've been reccomended Brian Cower stage 2's as a good performer.

I'm really open to suggestions. If anyone can offer any advice.

Another thing is - what rev limit is safe for a B with stock internals?

Thanks,

John
