My other ride

Noice truck mate,Looks the dogs bollox that does, scare the **** out me when trucks like that get really close to your back bumper..

Wouldn't mind be a trucker myself.. :nice:

Cheers topher, nothing to be scared of mate, just stay above 56mph and we cant catch you :D
such a easy job and im on good money aswell so well worth the money getting the license

ive only been driving class 2 since march and class 1 since june, going to do petrol tanking when ive been driving class one for 2 years, i have adr aswell so just need the experiance, have you had any prangs or crashes yet?

Yeah can be an easy job, but its took me a while to find a good one that pays well, and this one pays very well! Good luck with getting on to tankers, heard thats a hard one to get into unless you know someone. I have also got my ADR but not for tankers.

Well i will be honest i have had a few bumps, when first got my class 1, bumped and scraped a few cars when i was a delivery driver with the rear overhang of the trailer as i was not used to it, but to be fair these were in tight places in and around glasgow with loads of parked cars.None of them major though. But you learn from your mistakes lol

Well it's suppose to be 56mph, but it's faster than that I pass pretty much every other lorry

Scania v8..! Sound so sweet :D

Yeah it would sound good if it had striaght pipes, that's the only thing that's missing!

Cheers, what do you do mate?

I drive nation wide too mate, i'll be looking out for you and your v8 badboy now hehe :) I do a lot of hours at the wheel and waiting round rdc's and delivery locations, but hey thats the name of the game. I drive for a company that has locations scattered all over, we dont really have our own allocated trucks as we usually take whatever truck is available at the time so not the best scenario.

Yeah it is good to be payed well to sit on your ass and see the lovely countryside too haha, only kidding lol...Are you doing your driver cpc at the mo? It is a bit tedious to be honest, all stuff we essentially know as professional L.G.V. drivers. Where abouts do you run out of as i go to co-ops all round the isles? Get a good drop and drive at the co-ops TBH so big up co-op :)

I'll do 57Mph next time them :D

do you get cheap insurance for your car if you are a lorry driver ?

Who do you work for yardy? I used to be with a company where u never had your own lorry, hated it as most of them where dirty and minging!

Also got my driver CPC, waste of time that is. Luckily I never paid for it, but it's just a money scammer that one

Sound bud, nothing worse than a car on the motorway travelling slower than a lorry lol

Dunno bout the insurance mate, I'm 28 with 4yrs ncb and 6 points. Paying £400 a year on the 9

My dads a trucker. ADR like some of you guys. Hopefully I'll get my licence next year so I can get going. I'm only 22 so will be hard to find a company that will take me on.

I work in Wiltshire mate. I have completed my driver cpc I have done 42 hours as ADR counts as 21, then work put me through the rest, yeah I do long hours aswell and work random shift patterns I hardly have anytime on my rest days because I'm so tired. On a hi

I'm only 23 and went with a agency first as they are the only ones willing to. Give me a job, then applied for a job at co-op and got it, just send a c.v off to as many company's as possible. It's a long process, some of the shops we deliver to are so tight, but I'm
Constantly learning which is self rewarding alone.

My car insurance boosted being a hgv driver apparently you a high risk to have a crash

Yeah the Agency's were going to be my 1st port of call. Well that's good news that people will employ younger drivers.

Id love to have a go at driving a truck on an experience day or something my parents did one at brands hatch where they had you moving around cones and backing it up sounded great fun.

vti2010: I struggled parking my dads 4x4 in the garage when I moved it. So I have loads of respect when I see some of the manouvers you lot have to pull.

Polski: Thanks for that seems to makes sense :)

Class big lorry there mate, Love the topline scania's!! Bet it makes work 10x easier having the nicest/best specced lorry in the fleet lol

That things a beast! Id love a go in one. They look like a lot of fun when there's no trailer on.

I like V8 scania's, we used to run Daf 95XF's and volvo's when we were in haulage :)
