it aint no 9 but just thought i`d put this up to see what you guys think before i start putting in work... its a 1.5 (NON VTEC) but the tw@ i got it from put the badge on the back, also.. i`ve got myself a bargain JDM b16a (sir 170bhp) engine and all the running gear.. just requires fitting (beginning of may) and i`ve finally decided that the colour scheme im going with is red/black inside and out, im thinking along the lines of...

* black multispoke alloys (15" team dynamics) or something similar
* red recaros up front + rear bench retrimmed to match (or removed)
* ek9 steering wheel
* ek4 vti black/red dials
* black dash
* red/black door cards
* red ek9 carpet
* eventually a respray in black
* flame red hoses / wiring ect. to match the freshly painted rocker
* ek9 front + rear bumpers with lips (not trying to ek9 rep it, i just love the look of it)
suggestions are very welcome! wha dya think??

nice wee sheel to start on mate all the best look forward to seeing the pics of engine swap ;)

cheers buddy, got lotsa plans but like everybody money is tight so i`ll do what i can when i can and get piks up as soon as i can. :D

X2 look forward to the swap mate nice car though :)

cheers mate, just needs very slight attention to the rear arches, where they meet the bumper... some bellend has pranged it and cracked the paint and it caused minor rust but its still solid so shouldn`t be costly to hav it sorted. other than that its well tidy, i was very suprised :nice:

Would anybody Trade me a worked k20 Bottom end for a clean 97 coupe/no rust/front bumper needs work/and needs an axel/40,000 on d15b/slow as **** but v-Tec POPS! :)

B16a2 con will be completed before the end of the month as i`ve just had news that its arrived in the uk, Woohooooo!!!!
the obd2a - obd1 jumper harness has arrived too so just waiting for my engine to come and it`s all go go go!!!

followed by some minor rust removal begining of next month. as the rear arches haven`t past the test of time, but not to worry i`ll have it sorted for the time being and a full respray hopefully later on this year :D

engine is here and piks uploaded!! im leaving the rust removal till next month as iv lined up a bargain exhaust, but engine will be going in the weekend coming so ** WATCH THIS SPACE over next couple weeks for updates guys **

just looking at your engine mate there is no 2 on the end of it.
it is a B16A or B16A2.... ??

i've got the black/orange VTI dials you were talking about for sale...

£60..

after buying your exhaust i`ll be skint but if you hang on to them i`ll have them end of next month fella if not then no worries but u no im good for the loot, and i did notice that so i done some research and apparently in malaysia these swaps are so common that they`ve devised a way to tell the difference without taking the whole block apart... if the "DOHC" is bigger than the "vtec" on the rocker its a b16a1 and if its the other way round then its a b16a2. my "vtec" is larger so it should be a b16a2 but im still researching this to make sure i haven`t been royaly fooked!!! but in all fairness... i paid £350 for an entire conversion consisting of the engine itself,drive shafts, gearbox, loom,p30 ecu, mounts the lot so either way its a bargain lol

Looking good mate. Will be even better with the B16A fitted :naughty: keep us updated :)

Cheers fellas, My mates putting the b in next month so gives me plenty of time to shine it up and maybe spray some parts as i havent got alot of free cash, So cleaning is ideal as it don`t cost a penny :D

mate, this is gonna be a good build! Can't wait to see everything done =) Got some tsw's that i'll be wanting gone when i do get new rims, if you're interested in the future! =P

Btw how much and how long did it take for the b16 to arrive from japan?

cheers pal, engines going in the second week of may so keep an eye out for that coz ill be fitting the tanabe system aswell and vids are a MUST lol, the engine took about 3 and a half to 4 weeks to get here the 3 days for delivery (when the tsunami hit tho) so could have been quicker, cost wise i paid.... and you wont believe this but... £350 for the full conversion consisting of... engine/ gearbox/ shafts/ loom and ecu delivered lmfao. its not what ya know... its who ya know!! lol and the wheels might just be down my street (if the design and price is right) got any piks?? pm me if ya do buddy!!!
