hi,

this is my ek9, i will be turboing it in the near future and thought i would put some pics up, here is the spec:

81.5mm darton sleeved
je pistons
eagle rods
ARP headstuds
hondata s200
t3/t4 57 trim
b16b cylinder head, cams, inlet etc
rc 440 injectors

i want to run around 20 psi should make good power, should be up and running in the next couple of months and ready fro some track abuse

thats a beautiful block!!! 440cc injectors are gonna be a bit too small for your power goal though, they usually max out at about 300whp.

i had a similar setup t3/t4 57 trim, i made 317whp at 14psi with 8.3:1 compression and 91 octane fuel.

at 20psi and that turbo you should be around 380whp!!

is the block a b16a or b18c?

its a b16a mate

looks like im gonna have to go for bigger injectors

what sort of RPM did you reach max boost?

i had a ball bearing 57 trim, i believe 14psi came at about 4800rpm, also make sure you run the biggest intercooler you can find, that turbo likes to blow hot air when you push it.

Looking good, do you have photos of the motor in your engine bay? :)

you sure they are darton sleeves?

think your car used to be owned by someone on here,, did you buy it over christmas?

they appear to be a dry-liner sleeve. With some kind of metal epoxy to brace them because of how thin the cooling jacket is.

its not in yet, will be in and running soon.

they are darton M.I.D sleeves that are picutred, mine are the cheaper "repair" sleeves...fine for the power im looking for, if it was me i would have bought the MID sleeves but i bought the block with the work already done and i got it cheap so im not complaining

the work was done by a company called TK engineering- and the sleeves are welded in aswell as the block guard

and yes, my car was owned by someone on here

^ lol havnt been on here in agess,

not much has happened, just got loads of parts,

i have found a turbo which is a garret unit custom specced by someone off honda-tech called "the silver surfer" blinx might know which one i mean,
should be receiving that shortly,

got my B&R catch can setup, gauges etc, need a clutch and a few other bits and bobs and i will start building it, which will be in a month all going to plan.

anymore changes on yours mate?

Sounds good, what is the model name of the charger or intake/exhaust housing sizes?

My setup...naah nothings changed... just clocking the miles up for now, but waiting on a better water pump for the charge-cooler.

Keep us updated anyway dave! and lots of pics please!! :nice:

No apart from my vacuum operated catch-can sucking some oil through the intake its been excellant.

Advice... By shares in Shell! :ek9:

rite,

a few little updates,

im no longer using the B16 pictured...ive now got a Lakey/benson b18 1.9l 83mm cp pistons pauter rods!

im using a t3/t4 60 trim and SLS shorty mani

all getting fitted throughout July.

Dave

wanted more displacement + the laskey setup is bulletproof to silly power and i got a good deal involving the other block so it would be rude not to.

hows yours going mate?

5500miles and counting! lol Just had some new regamasters delivered too ;)

^good choice mate...please say they are white...?

i hav also bought some wheels, im collecting some 16" Enkei NT03's at the end of the month
