Hi I'm Phil, before you all jump down my throat and tell me I'm doing it wrong I'm really not that fussed. I like to hear opinions though so don't hold back even if you think you'll hurt my feelings!
I come from a Volkswagen modifying background and since I've been 17 all the cars I've owned have been VW's. When I turned 21 I decided I wanted a "proper" car. One that would not only satisfy my needs for fast car but one that drove well. I'd always liked Civic's since I was in school still dreaming of what cars and what massive bodykit's I'd have so thought that now was as good of a time as ever to venture away from VW and get myself a Civic. I did my research into UK spec EK Vti's and didn't find one that met my criteria so after discovering I could unfact insure an EK9 for sensible money I started looking. Duncan seemed to have a very good repuation as a dealer and after looking at a couple of his cars a deal was struck on this one.

Since then I've added my own touch with a few choice mods to my taste, BC coilovers, Buddy Club Spec 2 exhaust, Spoon carbon mirrors, Scroth Harness's, Teigwa Spoon lower seat rail, OMP 350mm dished steering wheel and finally a set of 16x8 and 16x9 BBS RS wheels. Heres the pics from various stages anyway!

Anyway it'll be lower on the front when the BBS are properly on (only trial fitted in the pictures.) I also have an ASR rear subframe brace on its way and hopefully a Mugen front splitter soon and I fancy a fixed bucket of some sort for myself. Let lose guys look forward to your responses!

looks good mate 8) , clean example IMO id keep the EK9 lip thats on.... but each to there own, it wont look bad with a mugen one! those wheels are bling!! be careful with the lips with those tyre stretches making them naked :p what other plans you have ??

Nice car
Dont like the new wheels , I think you have to much VW blood pumping through your viens lol

nice car but the spoiler brackets are a joke.they totally ruin the car.

more pics required, wanna see the whole car in shot with the BBS wheels on,

I kinda figured someone may make the VW/BBS link, to be honest they were the first decent sized set of wheels that came up for the right money and in the right sizes and offsets I was after. I've always like the spoiler brackets ever since I first started looking into EK's so they'll be staying!

Looks nice mate! wheels are certainly different for a 9 thats ur dub DNA for sure - although you can never really tell how wheels look till you see a car in the flesh. Like the agressive look of the angled wings, although hope you havent planned a trip to the 'ring any time soon - it would be a bit of an air brake on the autobahn lol

Agree, but I was expecting worse when I saw the thread title.

Wheels are not my taste, in my opinion EK9 wheels should look sporty and light not like you're about to do a drive-by. Brap brap brap :naughty:

Are people forgetting that BBS are motorsport wheels?

Low offset and flicked wing.......Reminds me of my old one.

Cant wait to see a decent shoot!

Not with stretched tyres.

What makes you think that? I'm running 195's and 205's so there's still all of that contact patch. The fact the tyres are stretched (within TUV guidlelines) means it has no bearing on their overall performance. If you take a look at alot of race car's and especially drift cars who put their tyres under massive strain you'll find the majority of them run stretch! The rule baisically is as long as its on the bead and you're running the correct pressures, they're not going to pop off now matter how much abuse you give them!

where abouts you from phillyt?
just noticed you have slapton sands on your album, are you from the south west?!!?

I'm from Southampton, me and my girlfriend recently went on holiday and I had decided that was were we would go. We left for Cornwall after about 30 minutes of wandering around, place was like a ghost town and the road down to it was terrible!
