My EK9 On track @ Mallory Park


Yep, was a great day. me and neil do all our driving together, which sounds kind of gay, but means we anticipate the other's next move! you can see we have track manner's, i saw him trying to get the inside line so gave him some room as to not crush two VSM's!

not bad considering i had absolute poo tyre's!

was such a great day. welz's video is awsome, you just see us upsetting everything! i get the legs on neil, then catch something up, so he caught me up, then i'd get past, then get a gap.....and so on!

was good having magnetic bumpers!;)

Looked good, would have expected a bigger difference in a straight line between the two tho, traction issues with the k20?
 
Wow :shocked: To me, shows how good a B18'd Ek9 really is on track with some good driving thrown in.
Never been on a track day myself and with my 9' being a daily driver always been a bit nervous to risk it :nerv:

Makes me wander how my soon to be B20 would compare to other cars and think I'm gonna have to do a track day to find out as this is inspiring.

Nice video that's my black ek9 at the end I was on track driving the Citreon zx . Love your mates ef9 crackin looking car an both your cars are mint also mines was a little dirty after the 330 mile drive down from scotland
 
Si was using parada proxes4's and i was on Federal FZ-201's!. I was also suprised the wasn't more of a gap in straight line speed between the two but the extra speed i had in corners plus less weight made the cars very evenly matched and was a really fun drive! :)
cant wait to get out again!
Nurburgring on saturday / sunday then will book some more UK trackdays and hopefully see some of you there :nice:

Get yourself booked on croft in July with HOT, its the same weekend of of the Vtec challenge too!

As for croft i will look into that! really cant wait to get out again. Nurburgring is amazing but i like putting laps in as you can dial in corners more when its lap after lap!!

This is the main reason I ant been to the ring yet, for the cost of a ring trip I can do 2-3 uk trackdays!
Don't get me wrong I do want to do the ring at some point in my life but I enjoy putting laps in hear in the uk too much at the mo!
 
Yeah it makes sense really, you can do at least 2 trackday for the price of a ring trip! Think i will not go a second time this year and just get more uk days as its more action for the money :D
ill deffo look into croft, also considering silverstone @ trax show! and booked some time for Donnington @ Japfest 2
 
video for an iPhone 4 is brilliant, not to mention your driving is very smooth and fluid-pleasure to watch
 
Enjoy the nurburgring! Just had a squint of your build, glad you got the box sorted out in the end, the S4C 4th/5th is a cracking setup :)
 
Cheers Steve, It needed sorting and i'm very happy with the results! Great set up paired with the 4.7 fd! :) Cant wait for the Nurburgring! leaving tomorrow!!!! Ill get some footage of the laps and add them up when im back :nice:
