Hey guys im a 20yr old student from Scotland (Stay near Glasgow) and this is my 1st ever Type R and lovin' it :D

My previous car was a Yaris 1.5L T-Sport which was pretty heavily modded but was unfortunately written off.

I bought a 1998 Honda Civic Type R GF-EK9

The one I bought is a very rare Race Base model. I don't actually know how many of these were produced in Japan but you very rarely ever see them for sale.

MODS:

Buddy Club P1 Racing 15" Gunmetal
Pioneer DEH-313 CD Player
Believe a aluminium racing radiator has also been fittted.

All mods were fitted when I bought the car.

Aye I was gutted the BRIDE got destroyed in the crash :( was cool as **** though I wanna buy another 1 but can't afford it the now.

First mods will be Spoon Steering wheel and Gear Knob. I find the stock wheel a bit big tbh

I find the stock suspension on the CTR very good and coilovers are expensive :(

I definitely wont be buying TEIN again though the basics were far too soft and the rear shock burst within 3 months :mad:
 
Lovely '9 you got there, but have to agree with denward does need lowering a little. :nice:
 
i love the stock suspension of the EK9 it's already close to perfect as far as spring & damping rates are concerned, lowering is out of the question for me as the roads here are not as perfect as your roads are in UK.

btw great EK9 you got it's a lot more fresh than mine. :nice:
 
where are the recaro's???????????them seats come from a face lift 1.4i civic...the gf's ones are the same seats in hers!....an its grey dash interior...never seen that in a vtec only in vti coupes an civics converted to vtec

The complete interior of this car has been swapped off to a standard EK2 or EK3 version.

Original EK9 or EK4 has all black interior covers and dark gray pillar covers, dark gray roof liner which classified as TYPE D. Those in his car is TYPE K which is gray color.
 
I won't buy this ek9 if I were you, better check your cams, piston, LSD gearbox ever been swapped since the interior were swapped completely.
 
Kinda pissed off theres gna be anotha ek9 cruisin the street of glasvegas, but nice car bud, sure i'll see you about :)
 
Hi im new!! I too have a race base model!! His interior hasnt been swaped!!!! Ya havent a clue so shut up hikaru! Mine is a lil more modded than yours tho burnie. Go through RVM's threads and youl find out more info. il post pics of mine soon.

It's NOT a fake EK9 ppl and it hasn't had parts swapped its a RACE BASE.

And its got the most important things that a EK9 SHOULD have:- B16b and LSD :nice:

honestly. I wouldn't put it past some one switchin interiors!!! I went out o look at a type when i was lookin for one n i saw a "rase base" one. I pissed myself laughin at him!!! He hadn't a clue about the interior and what he said was some stole half it down the docks so thats what they put in it!!
