My EK4 Track Project


decided to paint the side strips today, only one side though just to see if i like it or not. not really sure on what i prefer

yeah think it looks cleaner/flusher with them painted mate, cars lookin sweet as well :nice:
 
not a big update, but my rear upper strut brace finally got here.

was going to get an X brace but i really dont think there worth the money, imo a fixed solid strut brace will do.

picking up my new brakes in 2weeks hopefully, nothing crazy, a 286 meisterR front setup, along with some other goodies

Good Progress! 286 Set-up is awesome according to my mate, he runs it on his K20EK and hasn't let him down yet!!, Did you get new coilovers in the end or are they due around Christmas still ? :) Keep up the good work!
 
cheers mate. its gunna be a slow build but will get there in the end.

haven't got coilovers yet, christmas is gunna be more expensive than i thought lol. im going to get a few smaller bits out the way then get the coilovers at the end of winter. im thinking about raising the budget and getting some buddyclubs, but i will see when the time comes.

next to buy is ASR brace, some LCA's and maybe a new front strut brace. ASR is urgent though so i can get my itr rear arb on

yep picked the brakes up the other day, hopefully theyll be on within a couple of weeks.

Nothing big but i ordered a few bits tonight,
-sunstrip, for when the rooflining/visors come out
-new bushings and d brackets for my itr rear arb
-function 7 end links
 
not much been happening lately, didnt have much money after xmas !

got round to fitting my sunstrip, its not a genuine J's racing as i could only find them for EG's or EF's, oh well not really bothered.

also sold the 16" rota's, and picked up some 15" team dynamic pro race 1.2's with fresh tyres on, for silly cheap off a mate. would have cost me more to change the front tyres on the rota's which needed to be done.

sneaky pic with the new brakes, havnt got round to fitting these yet, want to get some new pads and some new lines before i put them on. should be on in a few weeks though hopefully.

thats it for now, got loads of suspension bits to be fitted but just waiting on some other parts to come so i can do it all at once, so should be some updates soon!

also, had some parcels come today. an omp boss plus a 350mm dished suede steering wheel. hopefully get it fitted tomorrow. just need a cage and some new buckets to finish the interior off.

I also have a silver EK4... doesn´t have the lips....yet..... :) but I'm dealing with the purchase, I loved the steering wheel and is also an option for my ek

meisterR zeta R's. it was between these or the buddyclub N+, but after checking out loads of reviews between the two, and speaking to someone who has owned both, i went for the meisterRs. have to admit the price between the two did influence me to get these aswell !

im going to be patient and wait for some other bits to arrive before i fit them, do it all at once that way.
