Love the car.

Where did you have the trims done in carbon?

Decided to redo my calipers as i wasn't 100% happy with them. Instead of keeping the old rubber seals il be completely rebuilding them.At least it will give me something to do ey! Heres how they looked when i got them.

DSC_0641.jpg

Then i painted them by hand, but as you can see they are a bit manky under the paint. The piston had seen better days and the rubbers was a bit old

So...I set about stipping all the paint off again using some nitromorse.

DSC_0839.jpg

Then i got sick of sanding them and not getting anywhere so i got them shot blasted at my dads work :) paint was completely stripped and alot of the rust has come off aswel. I gave the pots were the piston goes into a proper clean usin scotch pad and some brake fluid. Gve the calipers a final jet was and clean the prepped them up to be painted.

Started off with a high temperature metal primer. First light coat...

2nd and then 3rd coat...

Going to finish off prepping and primering the other calipers and carryers then going to spray them in a deep red colour, same as the car.

Fitment is perfect, sounds amazing..couldnt reccommend it enough

Hey nice ek3, i know how much effort it takes to rebuild the brakes etc i did the same setup on my ek3. im looking at picking up the same backbox as you, is it a 2.5 inch diameter system? as i dont want to have to repalce it again when running a 2.5" b pipe and engine swap. Also what does it sound like on your d series?

Thanks, Dan

Ye its a ballache alright! Yep backbox is 2.5" and its mated with my 2.25" b-pipe and fits fine :) Sounds really nice! Not boomy at all just very sporty

good build, nice attention to detail too.

Cheers mate
any plan for CTR wing?

Not at the moment mate but mabye in the future when i have some spare cash :)

totallllly jealous man!

Haha thanks dude, got loads of updates for this! will copy the pics over tonight :)

Love the build so far, very clean car!!! mint....
Like your choice of mods so far, you obv take pride in what you do. Good that your being sensible with doing the suspension, brakes, tidy-up , interior first, so you have everything readu for an engine swap at a later date. keep goin!!

I think the only thing letting it down are the wing mirrors, have you got plans for them.

Colour code?
