My DC2 - K20A Swap *Updated 30/01/13


Hi mate

Car looks great like the black on black,was thinking of converting my dc2 to k20 but whats the sump to ground clearance like ? and is it alot faster than the b18 (worth the spend).

Hi, The sump does hang fairly low but iv had no issues to date, car is running 30mm springs 195/45/16 tyres, I plan on getting coilovers and using a 225/45 tyre up front so ill see how that goes with a 40-50mm drop,

It is definatly worth the spend imo if you want more power, 240-250 without opening the engine, buckets of torque even from 2K rpm, 30-35 mpg average, wheras a fully built b18 would probably cost the same as the swap and wouldnt hit those numbers.

Iv had 5 dc2's (b18) and even my quickest would be hitting 160/170km on certain points of roads wheras this is almost back to 0 on the clock lol iv had one run against a 98 spec dc2 with breathing mods, he was about 15 lengths back. Go for it :nice:

Ye I'm goin to need ear plugs!ha got an ecv for it to try an keep the pigs at bay,ha not too fond of noise around here, :naughty:

must get one of those, using a apexi atsilencer at the minute for daily driving, annoying taking it in and out! Think if you fit it back at the axle back it will quieten it most
 
Coming out of petrol station flat the clutch decided to **** itsself :nice: So I Ordered a Competition Stage 4 clutch from Karcepts.

Also got a clutch line of them aswell to replace the DIY disaster I used till now, I should have got a picture of it before it went in the bin!

Car had some badly need TLC recently, after been daily driven through the winter it received a full clay bar-compound-polish-wax and an interior valet

Ya I have it for sale, a mate selling his car so I was thinking of getting it, gladly keep it tho, I laugh everytime I take it for a proper run :))
 
thought it was, u shud kip it mate bet u spend a lot of money n hours building this monster,
