Mugen ECU vs. Camshafts


I asked the guy who sold them and he used "Hondata200".
What springs should I buy: Toda or Skunk2?
Retainers:Omni power, Skunk2, Buddy Club. Does Toda have them?
Do I need new Valves? Engine is 1997

If I buy Toda camshafts, I prefer to buy, Toda Springs, Toda Retainers. But this is just my opinion, since different springs manufacturers have different sprint "rates" or resistance I prefer to be safe and buy from the same manufacturer.

I had in a b16a motor skunk 2 stage 1 camshafts, with springs and retainers and no problems at all :)

Also you don't need new valves.

you can use any tunable ecu you like. Just make sure someone knows how to tune that particular brand ecu

Toda 0.6mm , Spoon 0.45(thinner then standard) , Mugen ?
I'm confused, because it is a LOT of them. Make just one, it will be easy for everybody, but NO. All of them want to make some money with small changes.

Who makes the best VTEC cam?

Currently, Honda is the best VTEC cam maker. Putting the Japanese Type R
camshafts in has resulted in +7hp according to Eddie Kim @ Dynamic Autosports
on their DynoJet.
