Their is a wind deflector, not sure what you call it right next to my radiator opposite the manifolds. would it be better if i remove this to bring more air in to the engine bay? so cooler air for air filter as well

Sounds like a cooling plate for your Rad! that traps cool air for your radiator so if it is , dont.

Post a picture up so we can see for definate:nice:

X2
Dont honda put it there for a reason!:secret:

I remember RagingAngel talking about this once, he explained how the temperature in the engine bay actually increased with this removed. so leave put.

ok i wont remove it but i don't get how that could make the engine bay get hotter. and by the way its not on the radiator its next to it. and its also colour coded with the car which i think it also makes it look nicer when you see it from the front bumper. i just never knew it could heat things up.
thanks for your commence tho

ive got a black platic sqare that sits next to my rad,
i think its like a blockoff plate thingy, as the ek9 chassis has two rad, where i only have one...is it thins ur on a bout mate?

It is to direct the air to your radiator, there for keeping your engine cooler!
That is what a radiator is for, you dont cool an engine by passing air over it do you!!!!
If you want to get more cold air to your intake then you need to run a cold air feed direct to it!:nice:

i think with out this plate the air sits inside the engine bay and that blocks the radiator air that comes right front of it so air that coming and trying to pass the other side of the rad find a wave of air coming with opposite direction.

that plate is to stop air choosing a easier route, hence it will go through the radiator.
