Meguiars Veleting Products

No bother i will do a list of what i have and use on a weekly basis and what i use ever 6 or so months.

Right this will prob go on for those who arnt intrested at all in keeping there car clean in what i and few thousand others see as the right way to clean a car ! So if you dont care dont read simple ! :nice:

Ill link to most things on the one Site as it makes my life easier but feel free to shop around as there are i think close to 20 Sites for the UK

Ill start from the start

Pre Wash:-
Snow Foam
Foam Lance

Allow the Snow Foam to sit for round 10 mins to lift off as much dust/dirt as possible

Wash:-

Two Bucket Mothod ! if you dont know what it is Google is your friend !

2x These or similar
!

General Sponges are BAD !!!

Get yourself one of the following i prefer the Micro Fiber Sponge but its down to your of personal preference.

Shampoo You again have choices, i personally use CG Body Was & Wax once the car has been polished and waxed before hand id use something like Maxi Suds or similar

Drying:-

Drying Towel Love these well for the money collect a hell of alot of water

Also use Megs Last Touch Diluted 50/50 with water to avoid leaving streaks behind while drying

Also have a couple of these as well handy for the likes of Last Touch & any other products you dont want to use neat.

Claying:- Every Six Month To A Year, Your Call

Best clay IMO is Bilt-Hamber Autoclay but again there are other i would recommend the Fine Poly Clay

The Bilt-Hamber stuff only needs water as a Lube where as most others require some sort of QD or the like.

Polishing:-

This can be done by hand or the way i do it by Dual Action Policher (DA or PC) makes life easy but ill leave this out of this and stick to by hand, if you want to know what i use then ill list it.

Auto Glym - Super Resin Polish is great for this stage by hand easy to work and will remove some scratches/swirls with enough work.

Sealants:-

Not really required but some can add to the finish of the wax and they also add protection at the same time

CG Blitz is my choice easy on and off and can be layered up

Wax:-

Right this is the annoying part as its really up to you on how much you are willing to spend etc but really anything from the DoDo Juice range is great ive used Purple Haze on my old Clio and it gave a great finish.

Currently using Swissvax Onyx on the 9 but will be ordering some Supernatural from the DoDo soon.

Wheels:-

By far the best product ive used on wheels is Billberry Used Neat or Diluted it will shift most of the breakdust off your wheels !

Use this for the inside of the wheels if you cant be arsed to remove them

Once youve got them clean i would give them a coat or three of Poor Boys Wheel Sealant once this is on dirt will fall off just with a Pressure Washer !

And for that new Tyre look some CG Tyre/Trim Gel

That will do lol ive wrote enough crap for who ever wants to read through it :angry2:, i use a hell of alot of other products but those are the main ones ive used from the start, need anything else feel free to give me a shout

im not saying there's anything wrong with the Meg's stuff far from it ive just been shown other products by mates and prefer them, everything ive linked to above is just my own personal suggestion & what i use and know works well for me.

Ive got the G220 & Use Menzerna range only down side to it is that its a right bitch to break down in the cold weather ! but apart from that its great stuff

Pic above was polished With Menz 3 Step, Sealed with CG Blitz & Waxed with Swissvax Onyx

I also use CG extreme wash + wax too, really like it, and it gives you a bit of protection through these wintery months.

Ive got a miracle dryer too, carefull how you use it though, could cause a hose pipe ban they hold that much water haha!

Looking into buying a pressure washer atm, what do you use?

Thats the one reason i like Body Wash & Wax as when it comes to this time of year it adds that lil bit of protection

They are great cloths and last a good while before you chuck them out !

A Karcher is what ive got couldent tell you the model though lol but its a newer one was £99 in Halfrauds when i got it

Yeh cool, been looking at the Nilfisk ones, seem to get pretty good reviews.

Right considering writing out the info i posted again but umm a lil better, is there ne info folk want me to add to it ??

Id say try some products from the likes of

Chemical Guys
Poor Boys
DoDo Juice
Zaino

the way i clean the car.....:nice:

Snow Foam the Car
Rinse
2 Bucket Method (Chemical Guys Body Wash & Wax)
Rinse
Clay
Rub Down With QD
Dry
Polish
Seal
Wax

Only do the claying and Polishing every 6 months or so :nice:[/QUOTE]

I love when my car is spotlessly clean but i don't ever go into that much detail in cleaning it because we don't have the nice weather for it worth your while. Like next day or two its flithy dirty again. Drives me mad
