Hi guys,
I have a very annoying problem. Next weekend there is a track day, which is very important, and I wouldn't miss it for anything. So here's the problem.
I bought these mb6 calipers with no clue, that the mounting brackets are not original, but someone modified it, so the bracket is thinner.3

My problem is that with mg180 discs and mb6/itr etc (all the same) pads it doesn't fit. When I try to mount it, the screw pulls the caliper towards the disc, and eventually they touch. Which is BAD.

As I see, I just need that much they took off from the bracket.

Any ideas?:please:

Put washers in to fill gap. Some mb6 calipers are different from dc2 so that could be why they have done that.

All right, I ordered a new pair of calipers. Also mb6, but without any shaving. Should it go on the knuckles (ek3, i believe it's the same with the ek4) without any problem? With mg zr180 discs and mb6/dc2 pads it should be bolt on, without any problem. At least I hope so. Any experiences? I know it was discussed plenty times before, but it's hard to find.

Yes the ek3 and ek4 knuckle are the same. You should be able to use the mgzs180 disc and pads also without any problem

Is it the carrier that is cut? If so you need new carriers not calipers.

Yeah but here no one really sells carriers on their own. So I got the new calipers today, were a bit rusty though. Everything was spot on, some bolts needed a little play, but mg zr180 discs, 1,8 vti (or itr or atr or prelude 2,2 or 1gen crv) pads and everything is good. Here's a picture.
