hi lads,

could yee give me some info on something called a "Maxim Works" manifold for the ek9.

it had that writing with jap writing above it and a Jasma plate on another branch.

is this a good brand/quality manifold??

A buddy has it on his ek9 and im wondering what its like,

the car came to the country with that 4-2-1 manifold, a mugen twinloop and a mugen airbox. it seems to be a nice set up.

Any info would be nice lads, id never heard of this manifold before:nerv:

cheers

I saw it on a japanese magazine, It's a cheap header from japan, it's like saying for us, megan header ;) but with better quality, If I can get one at a good price, I'll go for it.

ya the welds seem to be good. i had another look at it last night and im going to buy it from him id say.

i read there on another forum it was the same crowd that made a mugen header. not too sure if thats true though

any more info on this header would be helpful,

cheers

I know this is long dead but maxim works header are not cheap! They make Jun header and are pretty much a Jun header without the Jun price tag and Jun logo, still not cheap!
Maxim works are a major company that specialise in making header for some of the best BRANDS in the world today ,it's there in house product ,
Hello all. I'm thinking about selling my stupid expensive header. In this case, it's a header from a company called Maxim works, which no one seems to know anything about. The header is of amazing quality, with CNC machined flanges, no restrictions, and welds so perfect they make other high dollar headers I've seen look pretty bad. The header itself is far from new, however is in perfect functional condition. The only maladies you may find are a few knicks and scratches, lots of discoloration (typical of stainless) and a weld between the flange and the runner on cylinder number one to repair a hairline crack that was present when I bought the header. The header came off of a JDM ITR swap at JDMtheory before Geoff sold it to me for an undisclosed amount of money. It is now currently in my friend Tony's hatch (we don't have dyno sheets, but there was a notable gain on the butt dyno). I just got an apartment and need to furnish it with a couch, an entertainment center, and lots of Jack Daniel's so I need to get rid of a few things. I'm still unsure as to whether I'm going to sell this one particular item or not, but if I get an acceptable offer, then I'll be more than willing to part with it. For reference sake, this header costs well over $1000 when new. I figured I'd test the waters here in the ITR forum being that it was made for an ITR.
It's long dead but clears up the question for other folks
