I have owned this car 5 months now and I love every minute of it, makes driving to work a pleasure would love to lock this away and keep it as a summer toy but I can't as my girlfriend needs "the family car" (as she calls it, it's a facelift FK2 si) while I am at work and having 3 cars is just not feasible.

As you will notice from the photos some panels are a different shade of white, I have came to the conclusion that both front wings, drivers door and bonnet have all been painted at some point, I have had the front end stripped and there is no signs of accident damage at all (previous owner could not find any either) i am guessing the car has been vandalised or has had a light front end scrape/bump, through time I may get this sorted, ideally find someone who is breaking one and buy the parts needed

I am not sure on what I plan on doing to the car yet, alot of people say B18 turbo but I would rather keep the b16b, I thought about turboing that but seems like it would be a headache, anyway keeping it realistic I have no money just now as my piggy bank is still empty from buying the car, what ever route I choose to go with it it will be a VERY slow progress which I don't mind as I love the car the way it is

CURRENT MODIFICATIONS

Integra air box
Titanium back box (nobody knows for sure what brand it is but it's very high quality)

I will try keep this thread up to date and would love to hear some suggestions on what I could do to the car

Glad you want to stay N/A that's what makes a real cool Honda for me! Most boost builds in the UK are eBay turbos and standard engines! Few serious builds coming through now though!

I also love a facelift 9 the dash seals it for me wish all facelift had it modernises the feel of the car a lot!

Yes they are standard and to be honest I don't plan on changing them, I think they handle pretty good and the ride height is perfect for everyday use

I have decided that the car will be staying NA, wouldn't mind trying to squeeze a wee bit more power from the b16b, so any suggestions of how to go about this would be great :)

Only problem with the car just now is that there is a vibration through the steering wheel when I apply the brakes, the discs and pads are fairly new, apparently disc warp is a myth? I have purchased new discs and pads but not had the time to fit them yet with work and having a 6 month old little girl, I was reading online that it could be a build up of pad material on the disc.....

Try braking hard 4- 5 times from about 60 to 10 mph. Keep rolling don't stop. See if it clears it up. You running standard pads?

Car always looks good and clean when I see you roll past mate.

When you are replacing the discs and pads be sure to clean everything up, sand down the hubs so the discs have a nice flat surface to sit on etc.

so I changed the discs and pads at the weekend and everything is good feels weird now that I don't have the shuddering steering wheel

It was was not oem pads and discs irf, they where brembo and still lots of life in them so what you are saying about braking hard etc may have worked, just thought I would change them though

I also put the standard exhaust back on tonight and I can't help but feel that it sits too far in, can anyone tell me if this is how it's supposed to sit? please excuse the mess of the car, the suit on the splitter is from the aftermarket exhaust and not the standard one, just not had a chance to clean it yet

@Ally138 is your man to ask about fitment. One of the few 9's with a standard exhaust lol.

Good news on the juddering going away though :)

Thanks bushell I will await his reply, am I going to see yours out and about this summer?

Should get back to you in the next couple of weeks

Yeah bud, taxed and mot'd. Getting aligned on Saturday at ATS.

Drive up past car parts and you will see it lol

I went up past car parts and couldn't see your car :( I didn't go further up than the Scott street turn off though, do I need to go further up?

Haha, yeah I stay like 10 yards further up on the left. Just before the turning for windyknowe. Good effort though lol.

That does look a bit far in. I've not seen my ek9 in about 2 weeks and I still don't have it. But I'll see if I can find some pics lol. Did you have an aftermarket one before?

Looks like it is hanging a little low. Maybe check the rubber hangers for wear.

Nice 9 though :nice:
