So I took the '9 into TDI North today!
Firstly went for a power run on the dyno -
Made 187.9bhp @ 8475rpm & 117.8lb/ft @ 8301rpm.
So chuffed with the figures being even higher than standard on a fairly standard motor!
I have a couple of videos of the runs I will post up very shortly!
In other news -
I had a compression/leakdown test performed -
All cylinders compressing at around the normal psi. Cylinder 2 & 3 have small score marks in them which is where my oil is going! So in for a rebuild with new piston rings & honed block whilst replacing majority of other things too except the pistons etc. early next year which will solve that problem.
We also discovered I require new drop links all round & ball joints on my ARB's. The major thing we found was that my front right shock absorber is now leaking fluid! So I am buying some BC Racing BR Series coilovers this week hopefully to be fitted next weekend!
We also confirmed that it used to be turbo'd or charged at some point in its 14 year life as there is an oil drain pipe into the sump which goes to nowhere, as well as various brackets which were used to mount FMIC.. Pretty strong evidence.
In for waxoyl/undersealing tomorrow! Some progress is now happening
Other than that, the car is perfect. Only wear & tear issues with it which can soon be solved! Still loving it!!!
