M62 Supercharger

Hi there, wondering if anyone knows anything about the M62 Supercharger
into a ek9. How much extra BHP would it give?

Installing it would also mean need to re-program the ECU, how do you make it safe for the engine?

Installing a super charger would make the engine not to be as robust, how can you make it safe to use the supercharger without damaging the engine and at what boost levels?

What other mods would be needed to compliment with the M62 so its good and smooth to use without having future problems.

the m62 you are referring to is a roots type blower and the link above talks about them and answers most of your questions.

but here is a quick explanation:

-35-50whp is typical gain
-yes you need to upgrade your ecu and it MUST be tunned properly
-7-8 psi should be safe
-you can always build your shortblock for higher boost pressure, useing forged pistons and rods.
