Lukes 97 VSM EK9 Restoration

Well! I'm newbie to this site but I thought my current build might be worth sharing. I am a pure Honda head since I can remember and I've always that a thing for the EK!
Up until now I've owned a few EK hatches, but this time it's the one!
I've recently purchased a 97 VSM EK9 here in Ireland, not a full car, a bare shell. It's suffering from a touch of rust but nothing too bad. Theses particular 9's are getting very rare over here!
So it's going to be completely restored in the coming months. I'll keep ye posted as often as I can.

So I was planning on doing a full EK9 conversion to my B16B swapped Frost white Jap EK3. I have already resprayed, under sealed, wire tucked and swap full EK9 Interior. Like an idiot! Lol
Plan is to bring this car back to stock & swap the 16b for a 16a. Then sell her on to fund my EK9 build (y)

That's her! The little EK3. Have to say it's a mint car, never crashed and no rust, which is hard got.
B16b from a 00 EK9 is very healthy, compression test showed 235 PSI across each cylinder, not too bad. This is the power plant that will be put in my 9 along with a 4.4 S4C w/ S80 LSD diff. Going to keep the car as OEM as possible for now !

Fixated fasteners custom bolt set! (Every bolt will be changed in the car!)

Innovative Billet 60A mounts (so beautiful)

Some pics of the reconditioning work. Sandblasted all of the floor plan and they're currently being painted by a friend of mine,brilliant at spraying

There's the floor plan after blasting and a coat of primer on its way to Tom's for paint

And my calipers off for reconditioning, pistons & seals. Should be like new. Picking them up at some stage this week!

I tracked down a picture of the EK9 when it was last a complete car :/ Hope to bring it back to better than it was before

Have to say I cannot wait to build up this 9! Rare as hens teeth now. Was never a huge fan of VSM but I'm converted its a serious colour in the flesh!
