yea i know thats what i thought that they would be more than 280bhp but when he was telling me because it was the armed forces police and he said that it was 280 and i was shocked. we have the bmw's and mercs down here at durham as well but i dnt know what they are, but i dont think they can be much different than that.

but yea man your mates supra sounds wicked how the number plate fips round, sounds like he is from james bond or something hahaha.

Yeah buddy its somthing else, hes a bit insane, i said to him can you imagine hammering it through a speed camera and the hydraulic's failed on the number plate "Oh fuc........@*&%$£" lol
 
yeah i know imagine that he went through speed camera and it didnt work lol. i went up to coldstream with my mate cause thats where he used to live, and there was a speed camera just as you leave the town and he its ok you can go through it because its facing towards you but they cant do anything, so i did i went through it and it flashed and i have had nothing through the door hahaha mad heah.

Yeah apparently its invasion of privacy so it cant get you head on. Its only the hand held revenue generators that can get you face on!
 
yeah i know, i was shitting myself first but my mate told me you cant get 1 and i went well if i do you are going to take the points and the fine hahaha.
 
You shouldn't speed at any time really.

Especially through speed camera area.

The cameras have been placed there because it is an accident blackspot or danger near by (schools etc).

It's not big and it's not clever and even though I'm quite new to this site, I'm sure the owners, admin and other members feel the same as I do when I say that I don't want to be associated with a site / group that think it is cool to do things like this!!!

No offence mate but lets face it, no one on here owns or plans to buy a 9 to take it shopping, as for accident black spots i think your mistaken, they say they wont place these cameras within 1km of each other well thats bullshit because i know of 3 diffrent locations in which there are cameras 700m away from each other so rather than an accident black spot i think you mean revenue genarator, screw the police
 
They place them in accident blackspots, dangerous places (near bad corners), near schools, public crossings and lots of places.

But I never said that anyone would buy and use an EK9 for shopping use.

I just don't think it's right to brag off about speeding through speed cameras on purpose and think that it is a cool and funny thing to do.

I speed every now and again. I used to be a right little boy racer.

But with age and experience I have realised that it is a waste of time if you do it, because you can lose your license, life and other people lives too.

And your car.

But if you wanna do it then go ahead, I'm not trying to stop anyone from doing it. I just think its wrong to brag about it on a forum.
 
i actually work for volvo, im a technician. We repair all of norfolks armed response volvo's. They are fully bullet proof, with gun cabnets where the middle seat should be. Pretty serious bit of kit. They run a B5234T 2.3 high pressure turbo. The standard T5 is 260bhp with 350ft/lb of torque and 0-60 in 7.2 seconds. The police cars come direct from volvo with a different ecu map and turbo. So probly are running about 280bhp, but are un-restricted. They do have different suspension etc to cope with the extra weight they have to carry. He would of eventually caught u. Unless your car can do over 170 you wouldnt have got away. We hit 160mph in one on road test, as when the car came in they said it failed to reach 100mph. We certainly fixed it tho. I love jobs like that :)
 
hi mate so you work for volvo, i know im not saying my ek9 is faster than a police car at top end because it isnt. i know he would of caught me eventually but thats what the police told me hahaha.

my mate used to work in volvo and he a test drove loads of the cars and that and there is a certain part of the road on the A19 and he floors all the cars to this bridge, i took him out in my car and floored it to the same point he does and he told me your car is faster than any volvo i have driven.

vtec power its made to kill lol
 
lol, i drive my honda every day and it makes me smile every time i hit v-tec. I no a ek9 would out accelerate a volvo to a certain speed, it just they lack abit on top end. But i always say it not how fast you go, its how u go fast..... Has he ever driven a S60 R it a 4WD 300bhp motor, fairly rapid. The thing is cause there such a big comfy car you dont realise how quick your going and dont notice the speed as much as you would in a honda. I quite like them though. There really understated and have shown a few things up in there time.

Whose bragging??? All i said was my mate got away from a piggy in a meat waggon? I never said its a cool thing to do, and yeah we all speed i myself included as you can read from the post i got caught doing 101mph, luck? maybe, but im telling you right now theres not a driver out there whos never broke the speed limit, if you ask me i think speed limits are a waste of time ne where outwith built up areas and towns, if you look at the autobahns accident rate you would see its far less than we have.

How can you justify the penalties we get? You certainly can if you get caught in a town built up area,school, outside an old folks home or whatever, but on motor ways when the only danger is your ability then ill always protest that speed limits on motor ways are bollocks, out and out bollocks

Na, your not bragging, but the other guy was bragging about going through speed cameras fast.

I just think it is wrong and agree that the UK's system is a bit of a shambles, but that will never change.
