Yes, I'm looking for an OEM ECU that's WORKING in perfect condition for homologation purposes.

Seems that NO ONE's able to properly program a B16b on an Hondata s300 to pass emissions test in Switzerland... So I have to recur to the original ECU.... which I can't seem to find on my own so I'm looking for someone to have one that wants to sell it.

Thanks guys.

It shouldnt make any difference to emissions really.
Do you need to use all oem equipment or can you say put 2 cats on it to get it through?

Well, unfortunately they check CO, HC, NOx and CO2, and my car is going over the roof with the values.
We've placed new Catalyst and it's better, however the car is still too high in some values which makes me believe that the problem is in the program done in the ECU.

Do you have a wideband or anyway to monitor the air fuel ratio?
When it boils down to it, getting the optimum afr and then filtering is all you can do. S300 should manage this no problem.

A common myth is people think that the leanest possible afr leads to the least emissions, this isnt the case.
Also does your 02 sensor work? Any exhaust leaks?

Which values are too high now?

I've delegate the task on a garage that's used to make homologation here in Switzerland... However they don't seem to be able to make it properly...
I don't know what values are high, I just know that the problem is during the first initial seconds when the car is turned on.
They've placed a wideband and I did make a full engine revision before the process moved forward... The last time I was with the process in my hands the problem was high NOx in high speed which basically means that the mixture was too lean... But the guy who's dealing with the process seems to have fully redone the map and now the problem is when the car is cold..
So that's why I need an OEM ECU. That way I know it will pass.

Ah ok. Your test is far more complex than ours. We have warm idle, then a fast idle test.

Yeah.. here they place the car in a controlled environment garage from one day to the other, connected to all the tubes and sh** and then they start the car cold... And they make it run like in the real world checking the emissions on each step of the way.

Wow, that must be so expensive to impliment.

The exam itself costs some 1800.- CHF... And if you fail this exam, each time you fail it it's 650.- CHF... My car failed it 3 times already... So yeah... Quite expensive :/

So your over 3700 in this already?

I "only" paid 2 of those fails and haven't yet had the pleasure to pay the successful exam (the 1800.-).
But let's say that the value you said has been largely surpassed already (engine reviewed, chassis revision + parts refurbished and restored)....

Anyway staying on topic... Looking for a proper working PCT ECU to get my car road legal. If someone can borrow me one, I'll give it back after as I have a Hondata S300 and all I really need is to pass this f*&#+ exam once...
