Bought a cheapo car charger for my tomtom from evilbay, after just a week it disintegrated in my socket as I pulled it out, now I cant charge anything, not sure if I have done any permanent damage, anybody got an inside pic of a healthy socket? Cant charge anything at the moment, if its the fuse, which one is it exactly? save me checking them all eh..

try checking the fuses and the wires that connect to the outlet. Mine had busted wires and a blown fuse so when I replaced them my TomTom was chargin perfectly (that's exactly why I fixed it, got a brand new TomTom but socket didn't work).

Do you not have a fuse Diagram on the fuse box cover? Mine does and it's a beat the hell up USDM EJ6.

Fuse number 23 under-dash powers you Cig-lighter and your radio ;)

But if your radios working then it may be a fault inside the socket as you say.

Remove the fuse and see if theres anythign lodged in at the bottom of the socket using a torch and some needle-nose pliers:nice:

Thanks guys, radio is working, I have pulled all the loose bits out of the socket but I cant tell if I have pulled out too much! Not looked for a diagram yet as Ive been on nights and not had the time, hope to look today.

It appears fuse 27 powered my cig lighter, had a puny 10a in it, all sorted :nice:

its a diff fuse then compared to the uk civic. Good to hear its sorted! :nice:
