looking to change my lambda sensor , the one of my car is 12 years old now so it cant do any harm

so im i right in thinkin thinking if i buy one that fits a b16a2 its the right one for the b16b ek9 yea?

cos i aint paying silly money for one from honda:mad:

If it isnt broken why fix it? Yes very expensive off honda??

Id wait till it goes mate!

thing is these dont often come up as a fault when plugged in on the diagnostic
i dont any where near the mpgs i did when i fist got the car , when ever i reset the ecu the car drives total different for a few weeks , so after talking to my man at the garage is was the thing we sort of worked out was the problem

any ways im a bit of a tart when it comes to things being right , so im gonna change it anyways

Your throwing your money down the drain. What is the point ?

Engine light should come on if its gone and the engine will idle higher.

Thats what happened when mine went, and you'll get code 1 as a fault.

But definately lower mpg is a sign as when mine was gone i was getting something like 100km less per tank??:((

Worth a try anyway and see if it works!!:nice:

why cant i get a simple yes or no to my question for god sake?

Actually as long as it remains a 4-wire sensor design you'll be fine. In fact I purchased an 02 sensor specified for a B16A2 engine for my B16B and have zero issues with it.

If you decide not to purchase a new one i'd recommend at least cleaning the old one a bit that should increase the accuracy depending on how carbon fouled it is.

thank you very much
see thats the sort of answer i was looking for

nice one

Also if you are going to purchase an o2 sensor specified for a B16A2 make sure you buy the primary o2 sensor and not the secondary as the B16B is only equipped with 1 primary sensor. GL.

How or what is the best way to clean the O2 sensor? Brake cleaner, or brushing it with something?
