ok, so I recently fitted my Ground Control and Koni Yellow shocks.
Now am getting a knocking sound coming from the rear which
is annoying as it happens everytime I hit a little or large bump!!
So I get under the car and check all the bolts etc and
everything seems fine.
Now here is what I figured, which could be where the sound is coming from!
Please coment and let me know if this could be correct or if I should
check out for anything else?
See pic below. (not from MY car)
When I was under the car (car jacked up)
If I hold the sleeve over and push upwards,
it moves up a little with the spring.
And when I release it, the sleeve over (marked in Red arrow)
hits the bottom of the shock (marked in Black arrow) and
this causes the knock sound I get. (So I think)
So when driving, is it correct in saying that when I hit a bump,
the spring moves up causing the sleeve over to Move up a tad bit
and after the bump it comes down causing the sleeve over to move down
and then hits the Shock bottom each time?
Does anyone using Ground Control have this problem?
Any coments / feedback / suggestions on what I could do?
