just back from crail 1/4 mile


i mean the ek9 is torquier not the jordan, just noticed that looks confusing to read.


is it on a hill lol can any more be bad about that place, u'd think they would atleast do the track up a bit for the amount of 1/4 thrash days they do. I sometimes find taking the left lane at the start line your car tends to start rolling forward slowly then can end up making the white lights go out but i dont get it on the right side.


yeah though J700OCK posted that he had the same time as me with a b16b with full system and spoon ecu.

maybe the diference of it being stroked on the 1/4 times is minimal and im epecting too much of it

And at Shakespeare I could only get a 15.2 on stock ek9. I then put b18, stripped a few things(only about 30kg or so) and got 13.7. Most b16 get low 15's very high 14's around this end. I've been to so many drag days I know. The odd one that gets noticably better is obviously packing more power then he/she thinks. At around 170bhp which what most b16's make your not going to really get much lower then a 15 unless your have fully stripped your car.
 
yeah crail is probly the worse 1/4 mile av been too. plus its normally quite windly, duno if its cause it next to the sea.??
 
Normally get Mega cross winds at crail aswell. i found avoiding the potholes at crail slowed you down aswell :lol:

its a good time man, dont look too much into the 1.4 mile times!

get it to knockhill and properly enjoy it 8)
 
funny you say that i was checking when ithe next trackday is erlier today. what does it cost?
 
in all Honesty, sometimes it will cost you nothing more than the Entry Fee and Fuel, other times it will cost you more, like, when you have to buy Tyres, pads and discs after it like my last one! :lol: but you will be sorted for discs and pads as i replaced them not long before you bought the car!
 
crail is defo a crap QM.

its not the best time ever tbh, but will be improvable.

the dyno dunsys car got mapped on is very accurate.

we seen you at crail i had the japan honda football top on

it was seriously hot and the track aint the best but we all go for a laugh, u raced my wife in the a ek9 we were running crap at first as we just got it tuned for the cbr1000 itbs and 2.5 exhaust on b16b and finding perfect launch but as the day progressed we got better finishing with a 14.6 which for crail i think is really good most of the ep3 and dc5s there were running 15's

my mates green/goldy punto 1.4 turbo nitroused run a 13.5 its rather scary for a punto

did i speak to you at all there mate? remember racing the girl yeah so we got not bad times then, i never seen any ep3 times but i raced a dc5 once though think the guy got a poor start.

i found it best to keep rev's at about 2k at the start until the lights go

I've not long bought a ek4 with a B18c swap with the LSD and the VTi box
The guy a got it off says he done 14.1 at crail its also stripped out with cat back on 888's
 
as was said i wouldnt be 2 bothered about the time, crails surface is shocking, the difference between santa pod surface and crail is night and day!
 
I did a 14.9 with a very sick b18 only one cylinder with good compression 62.150. 130. 225psi lol

Not running my sti till its mapped as the exhaust is causing boost spikes.
And the civics in bits waiting for its new shell
 
i plan to be at crail on sunday but mite change ma mind come sunday morning lol. got a standard mani on now though till the mugen one gets sorted

As I see you drove with a stroked 18, I think you should perform to better times.

What about your distribiutor timing? It will be a good idea to dobbel check it using a timing light, as it has to be something into the 16 or 18 grade.

I think 18 is better for the tracks, as 16 is more for the daily drive.
Maybe you was running with a timing around 14 grades, without knowing
 
Well was back at crail the day with a standard mani on and improved my time, 14.3 secs this time :nice: same time as my mates jdm dc2 .


also was a bye bye to an astra vxr nurburgring :clap:

BIGSTEVIESTI that was me you were speakin to in the ek9 your car looks super clean what mods you got? is the b16a the same power as b16a2?
 
Lol gogs i just read this post and cant stop laughing. I cant remember u getting better than a 14.3 passing the line at 100mph????

So at exactly what point is your car faster than mine :win:
