hello people another question please

What is the difference between the ukdm and the Jdm teg,

Apart from the exterior and the 2.25' exhaust compared to the 2.5' jdm I am intrigued to see if there is anything i am missing,

Cheers folks

Adam

yeah usdm exhaust manifold is smaller, also dont forget about the entire front end!! all us spec ITR's are the round eye model. also us ITR's had black recao's only. and we didnt get the 98spec. all us itrs are 96spec

my friend has a ukdm teg R its red looks amazin wit the black recaro's an graphite R wheels.he has the full 2.5" exhaust system off a jdm teg mani back wit a dc sports decat an tein SS other than that the is standard...personally i prefer the round light front end compared to the jdm flat light i think the flat lights look very plain.

The manifold is 2.5" collector but is diff from jap, its 4-2-1 and is longer with a larger cat, prob for emmisions reasons, the ecu has different map and runs on 98ron as standard (this is why the map is diff cos of diff fuel). these two together have the effect of 10 bhp less. The stock wheel size is also different ukdm is 15" and jdm is 16". Im pretty sure thats it except cosmetic stuff like fog light, bumpers and front along with indictor stalks on diff sides to jdm. Dont let the diff in power turn u off, mine stock dyno'd at 196 standard!! To be honest on irish fuel there about the same.

the ukdm is alot diff from us one... nearly same as jdm

there is prob more...... hope it helps

Damn, are you sure? I thought that all the usdm itrs where 98 spec, since I saw one with 5 x 114.3 wheels in person :nerv:

thanks for the info

i have been pestering people for some time now can anyone clear this up,

i hava UKDM integra Type R

mods:
AEM long arm intake
SS tein Springs
Mangoose Cat back system

i want to get a manifold and high flow cat, but am unsure what size i will need to get as the ukdm standard manifold s 2.25",

if i fit a 2.5" manifold and high flow car or decat (change for mot) will it marry up to my mongoose system, as i am not sure if it is 2.25" or 2.5", no point getting a 2.5 manifold if it will have to be converted to fit a 2.25" cat back system.

any advice would be great,

just found my exhaust it is 2.25" (57mm)

what shall i do, is there much power difference between a 2.5 and 2.25 ststem?

thanks folks

hmmm, since this is up. I'm wondering about the AUDM models too. I know that ours is 141kw/193bhp, 15" wheels, round lights, red recaros.

Yes, there is, you should do it, also install a oem jdm header, that should help :nice:

hmm, it seems that 98spec engines is only available in Japan models and worldwide models have 96 spec.

96spec Torque 178Nm(17.8kgs) Power 141KW(193bhp)
98spec Torque 190Nm(19kgs) Power 147KW(200bhp)

But JDM models always had 147KW(200Bhp) for both models.

Best way is to change the B18C head to a JDM 98spec with 98spec valves.

96spec has 4-2-1 headers while JDM 98spec has 4-1 headers.

Not exactly sure, but these are the differences.

1995-1997 JDM

Max Power: 200ps @ 7900rpm
Max Torque: 134lb ft @ 7200rpm
Length/width/height: 4400/1705/1320mm
Weight: 1060kg
Max Speed: 145mph
0-60mph: 6.2 seconds

1998-2001 JDM

Max Power: 200ps @ 7900rpm
Max Torque: 137lb ft @ 6200rpm
Length/width/height: 4400/1705/1335mm
Weight: 1100kg
Max Speed: 145mph
0-60mph: 6.2 seconds

1998-2001 UKDM

Max Power: 187bhp @ 7900rpm
Max Torque: 131lb ft @ 7200rpm
Length/width/height: 4400/1705/1335mm
Weight: 1140kg
Max Speed: 145mph
0-60mph: 6.5 seconds
I have more stuff but no time to post it, sorry lol

My ukdm stock max torque was 138 at 6350.... The spec on ukdm are always vague.

I pretty much class it the same as 98 spec jdm, just exhaust and ecu differ slightly...
same:
cams
bottom end
gearbox.

Esp on our fuel.... pretty much tit for tat.

the usdm is completly different.

it really depends on fuel in the country and climate.. honda wana make them safe and reliable too

Honda detuned it to suit the lower grade fuels, thats the only reason why.
I wish I had 100RON here....:p I wonder if installing a JDM itr ecu and use 100RON would be the same?
