Hi everyone,

Just wanted to stop in to say hello. I hope to get to know you all a little better. I've personally owned two GF-EK9's, which is my favorite Honda chassis. I currently have a black 1999 model. I'm the President of JDM Speedworx, so, you should see me posting in the Sponsor Classifieds here quite soon.

See you in the forums!

-Greg :drive:

Here's a pic (don't mind the headlights lol) Currently for sale as a shell.

Whats the honda-scene like where u stay in the US dude?

It's HUGE! I've been in it for several years. I've seen the personal side and the business side. It's fun, but, it's also very competitive, and political at times.

As an enthusiast I prefer to build my cars only for my enjoyment. It doesn't matter to me if other people like it or not. A lot of people in the USA like to build their car to be better than another person's. To me, as long as I'm happy owning the car, that's all that matters. :) This isn't really the case with the EK9 as there are maybe only 1 dozen or so that exist here.

Glad to here its big over there man;)

I am the same i build and have my cars the way i want them...as it should be!

I may be wrong but do u guys not find it hard to register ek9s because they are RHD? or is that just in some states?

Just wondering because i was thinking about moving to the US in a few years, thanks

Yes, all RHD vehicles newer than 1975 are difficult to register because of Federal laws. Certain states, will allow it, BUT, that doesn't mean the Federal government approves of it. The state is taking a big risk by overlooking the Federal law.
It's a long, technical, and difficult process, and isn't actually legal, BUT, people are known to find "loopholes" in the legal system. I'd say that in California, it's virtually impossible to register now. They've found just about every way to make it impossible to register here.

What's up, Tico? :) This is Greg. I think you remember JDMike. He was shocked to know that there was another Costa Rican person living near him! lol
