DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME DOWN IF YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN GENUINELY COMING! MINIMUM 150 POSTS! Other wise PM me

I've decided to set up this thread to gather interest in those of you from Ireland who would be interested in making a trip to the ring next June.

I will be organising things from this side of the pond with ijwhitemans help as he's a regular ringer.

All the information you could possibly need is in the link below. Please note all prices are in sterling and do not include the ferry from/to Dublin and the extra fuel costs.

I am going to limit the numbers to 10 for the moment(excluding passengers). To keep things as organised and tidy as possible. However, I will have a reserve list too, and if I can get someone to volunteer as a 2nd group leader, we will take even more with us. For now I will have 2 lists. Those who are definitely going, and those who are provisionally going. Obviously the definite list will take precedence over the provisional list.

Been putting serious thought into this for a while and have come to the conclusion im definitely up for it! 100% IN
Plenty of time to save and would be good to get to know the lads in person etc!

I would love to do it,was planning for next year myself, but I have to see how I will get on in my final year if I pass my exams I ll be in 100% since I have most of the cash saved up.

Done it myself last year the trip is EPIC, everything you imagine and more. i would love to go again depending on dates and lenght of time ill proberbly go, if you need any help with routes or anything give us a shout

Ye I know what you mean, times are hard, but hopefully the jobs cuts won't affect you, and you get to come along

I'm hoping to pick up a new motor in the next few weeks, one possibility is a 2nd facelift Sir saloon, so you may not be the only saloon travelling

Excellent stuff... We'll organise a meet soon when we get a full list together so it's not a case of us all travelling together having never met each other before...

Ye I was the same... Had been thinking of going for a long time, and thought next year would be ideal... Heading with a group will only add to the whole experience I'm sure

A meet up is definately a good idea man. Maybe make it another Irish EK9.org meet? I think it will be so worth going with a crowd across the waterwho have done it before, the experience will be unrivelled and only better the experience for all us firstimers.

WOuld it be worth getting a definate list up and location in the country where we all are.

Yeah ijwhiteman seems to know what hes doing, i wouldnt leave without reading every page of ben lovejoys site, gives a great insight to the whole ring experience

Closer to the time, I will approach companies such as Ice Tronix about sponsoring the trip. Try get discounts on our spare service parts such as brakes etc which we will need for the trip, if we group buy and maybe display their sign on our cars...

Or if anyone knows anyone who may be interested in sponsoring us or something similar, could be handy to keep costs down...

We're looking at going in June 2011 with the UK lads... No exact date in June as yet though...

Has there been any date set yet for Le mans?

Le mans 2011 date is the weekend the 11th and 12th of june.

I would imagine the Uk lads would organise to avoid having it on the same

weekend because of the large transit of british on ferries etc

Its along way away yet tho for people to be sure they can go. All i know is if you always wanted to go, this is an excellent opportunity and you'll make it so that you wont miss out!
Id be very surprised it the list wont be filled in due time tbo
