Bit of an odd one this on my B18C Racecar.
Always start's perfectly when moving it around the shed and what not, never skips a beat, but after a race I switch the car off and it won't even turn over. The fuel pump primes but doesn't sound quite normal but the starter won't even try by the sounds of it and needs to be bump started, sounds like a flat battery but doesn't appear to be. I Leave it for a 10-20mins, starts okay.
Battery voltage is 12.5v, Charges at 14.5v on idle. It has a P28 ECU but did the same with an OEM ECU so going to rule that out.
I have a UKDM DC2 Engine harness, So UKDM DC2 3 pin alternator (oval, green) but a JDM DC2 fuse box I am sure, need to double check this. I am thinking that it has an electronic load detector in fuse box but the UKDM DC2 doesn't IIRC (Built in to alternator?). Would this cause for some odd issues or would it not matter? I suspect it might be over charging or something weird. Car lives its life on VTEC really and only see this issue after a race, things have got hot, the alternator is at high RPM.
As I said, any idea's much appreciated, It isn't a road car so harder to ID cause.
Cheers
Kris
