Anychance? Tried bell and admiral ect. All i get back is need to be 21. Where can i try folks? Will sky or Chriss knot give me anything pleasing to hear?:D

Chris Knott and Sky, not a chance; their specialist insurers, 21 at a minimum to drive an EP3 i think

im 22 and looked at a quote; iirc it was in the range of 1100 to 1200 which is pretty steap, so even if you manage it, be prepared to pay 1500+ :(

Well i can get insured on an ek9 for £850 as the policy holder through admiral. I only want one because i can get finance on one. No one wil give me finance on a car which is older than 10 years old as they are all relitivly small garages which have ek9's as they have to be imported.

I know its a long way but i think torque do finance om ek9's or you could just try getting a loan may work out cheaper with the interest you may have to pay why get an ep3 if you can get a ek9 :p

Exactly! Are torqueg good?:secret:

yeh thats where i got mine and they were good nothing out of the ordinary but would def deal with them again

Good stuff. Thats what i like to here.

So i take it i can get insured on a 9 but not a ep3 because of it being a 2 litre? Strange me thinks

I guess so not very good with insurance but if i had the choice which i did i didnt even have to think twice on which to get you know all the reasons why :D

The availibility on finance is the only reason an ep3 was even being though about.:p

That doesnt make sense

If the ep3 is insurance group 17

and

group 20 which folk say the EK9 is

then how the hell is it only £850 for insurance for an ek9

EK9 are dearer to insure then Ukdm EP3 simply because they're imports
On the other hand I dont know about JDM EP3's? prob more expensive

Not the case here though:wow:

Maybe its different in the UK but in Ireland it is, maybe thats because there doesnt seem to be as much EK9's in the UK? everytime I'm on pistonheads there is only a handfull of EK9's and loads of EP3's?
Meaning more crashed EP3's as they're more common causing insurnace to go up!

An EP3 is more expensive for me than an EK9 to insure also.
I remember someone from sky insurance saying that they don't insure people who are under the age of 23 (I think) for an EP3 due to the amount of accidents.
