well lads found one of these

Doesnt look anything like this its 1.3 automatic and is a bit rusty as has been left in a yard for years :angry: when owner has a garage :angry2: haaa
but anyway what i basically want to know is what are these model of civics called can u put a b16a and a s4c into one or is it difficult i would be willing to make it a long term project
 
Third generation Civic, also known as the Wonder Civic or E-AT Civic.

You can swap in a B16A, no problem. Gearbox too. You would need to get mounts, etc. Pretty much the same process as the EF, but a bit more work is involved. The car should come standard with outdated suspension, so you would need to convert that if you wish to use coilovers.

If you have the money and time, then it should go ok for you.
 
Oh ok what would i have to change suspension wise i suppose getting parts would be some balls or would ef an crx or eg ek things fit them man???

And i have **** all money but i have a lot of parts lyin around or might break my ek4 an put all the bits from that into this if they fit

finally an answer i know about lol.

no need to swap the frontend for coilovers, originally it is adjustable. to get the best out of it, you need to get bigger bars though, and you can actually still get them new. Biggest problem is shocks, wich can be a pita to find.

theese cars are soo cool, and very light. my friends with turboed b16, full cabin and extra sound deadning weights in at 940kg on about a 1/4 tank of gaz..

Oh sweet thanks dude ya how do u mean about the front the coilovers from an ef or ek will fit is it but not at the back?? is that right if i go ahead with it il be lowering it an tidying it first before b16a goes in :win:
 
none of it will work... front they are mcpherson with torsion bars. pretty neat setup with very low unsprung weight, and a nut to adjust the height. for real lowering, you need to reindex the bars though.

in the rear, you can use ef shocks, but the springs are much different.

It can be convertet to coilovers in the front, but it will be a compleetely costom job, and they are already happy to crack between the inner fender and the firewall when used hard.

you also need the hubs from an teg from the same years, or a crx as to compleete the swap.

Do take into account that these rust. A lot. So imho do a full restore or don't even bother; if you only partly remove the rust, the rust will creep in again on the treated part, from untreated parts (English is not my native language, hope you understand that sentence :D )

i actually know of two :secret: kinda thinkin of gettin em both an makein one car otta two be a shame to destroy one tho :angry: i dont even have the heart to break a car

i definately wouldnt be breaking a perfectly good ek4 to put into a rusted civic anyway.
the only parts that would fit would probably be the engine and box too.

Shows your age mate haha I've never seen one driving around. And go for it mate if it's a project just concentrate on making it rust free then you can tinker at it until it's ready for the engine
