Ideal car for new drivers or those who can't get insured on ek4/9


Good way to trick the system? I doubt you'd get any money back if somebody crashed into you!
 
another boring rep imo, do people have no imagination? + who ever drives it is part of the reason for our insurance being so high!
 
Will get done for insurance fraud, can be a big fat fine and up to 9 points on your license.
 
Looks ok though, 9 wing and wheels and pretty hard to tell..
 
Actually not a bad looking car apart from the JDM sticker on the boot lid and all credit to them at least they didn't stick Type R badges on it :nice:
 
There's nothing wrong with having a car registered as a smaller engine than is fitted (tax issues aside), you can still insure it as a conversion.

If you don't, then obviously you're a wankshaft.
 
Can't see this being any cheaper than an ek9 to insure, it's a bigger engine and it's conversion.

On the tax issue, if you're not paying for the right tax bracket I'm sure the police can crush your car there and then.

Not really worth it.
 
Don't think people realise there are insurance companies on the forum that monitor this kind of stuff and what people actually have in there cars.
 
Kieran and Kon have it bang on. It would still cost as much as an EK9 possibly even more; unless of course you insured it as a 1.4 which is stupid. :p
 
I would also find it a bit risky to buy, because of the issue with the insurance... Or maybe I am just getting too old for such stuff :)

No one is "shitting" on your car mate, if u read the comments youl find most people are complementing it and the work you have done. they are simply trying to highlight some of the dangers of falsley insuring it as a 1.4...
 
this is easy crash someone gets hurt you get a huge bill and i mean huge or worse jail life ****ed, just tell the dvla about mods and stuff so much easer than picking up the soap :p
